It isn’t unusual for folks with sophisticated palates and a fervor for fun and friendly hospitality to show up at Trivs Restaurant and Lounge multiple times a week for lunch, dinner or cocktails, insists general manager Stephanie Anaya.

“We’re upscale but casual, without being stuffy,” Stephanie says. “Everybody here feels comfortable. And everybody knows how spectacular our food is. That’s why they like to frequent our establishment.”

What they may not know, however, is that Trivs’ fresh, made-from-scratch cuisine isn’t restricted to romantic dinners for two, or just a table of friends.

“We’re also a perfect venue for parties, showers, rehearsals and other business events,” Stephanie says. “We have a private room that offers an intimate setting for any kind of event. We’re more than happy to configure the room and personalize the food selections for your particular group.”

The helpful Trivs staff will coordinate the room for your event.

“We add a special touch with our linen tablecloths and beautiful candles,” she says. “If you prefer to bring your own centerpieces, you are welcome to do that.”

But the food, Stephanie assures, is what really sets Trivs apart from most other party venues.

“We offer personalized menus and personalized drinks,” Stephanie says.

“If your favorite dish isn’t on our menu, we’re more than happy to prepare it for your event. Our goal is to make your party as personal as we can. Everything is fresh and made in house; nothing is frozen. We want your guests to leave saying not only was that a great meal but also that the service was impeccable and they cannot wait to come back.”

A lunchtime party or event might feature the “trio,” of a half sandwich or wrap, soup and salad.

“It’s a very simple and cost effective option,” she says. “And you don’t have to worry about providing an exact headcount.”

If you want to step it up a bit, a variety of lunch entrees are also offered. Dinnertime party fare is based on Trivs’ acclaimed dinner menu.

“We’re happy to accommodate special diets such as allergies and gluten-free options,” Stephanie promises.

Along with the indoor private room, Trivs’ popular outdoor patio also is available for private events. It is heated in the colder months and open year-round.

“Whether you’re here for dinner, a drink or a party, you’ll find a welcoming, service-oriented atmosphere,” Stephanie says.

“A lot of that has to do with Mike, the owner. He’s here 10 to 12 hours a day and spends a lot of time chatting with our guests and really getting to know them. That’s one of the areas where a locally owned restaurant like Trivs stands out.”

The local flavor at Trivs is expressed in the abundance of vintage black and white photographs of historical Cleveland landmarks. And, Stephanie notes, Trivs features some of the area’s best local entertainment.
