Dancers in Broadview Heights have a new space to call home: Introducing the new Creative Movement Center

Following a three-year search and six months of construction, the highly anticipated opening of Creative Movement Center’s new location is finally here.
“We knew we had outgrown our former space but had to wait for something ideal to open up in Broadview Heights,” says founder and owner Hayley Weiss. “With our new building, which is nearly triple in size, we offer four spacious studios, a dancers’ lounge, and a playroom for younger siblings to join the fun. We currently have nearly 500 dancers in our programs, so it feels wonderful to add classes.”
For kids ages 18 months to 18 years old, online registration is open for the 2024-2025 session, with open enrollment through Friday, November 1, 2024. Classes cover ballet, ballroom, Broadway, hip-hop, acro, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, pointe, tap and tumbling, as well as adaptive dance for dancers of all abilities.
“We are also thrilled to introduce a class for vocal training, classes for cheer and pom pom, as well as ballroom socials for adults, couples or singles, the last Friday of every month starting in October,” she says.
A few fun facts about the new Creative Movement Center:
• The dance studios are modeled on ones in New York City, lit by clear skylights, state-of-the-art spring flooring and endless wall mirrors.
• Dancers can relax, hang out, do their homework and socialize in the second-story lounge, which features tables and cubbies. “Since some of our dancers are here five nights a week, we wanted to create a home-away-from-home feeling,” she says.
• Don’t miss the gorgeous freehand murals of dancers done by a former student, and the floral mural enveloping the upstairs studio.
One thing that hasn’t changed in the new Center? The nurturing environment still feels like home and the powerhouse teachers like family.
