You don’t have to sacrifice on space to downsize, Kensington Homes offers more to love, with less home to manage

When she founded Kensington Homes 30 years ago, Michelle Sorenson didn’t have any idea about all the things coming her way…a pandemic, a recession or two, supply chain shortages, fluctuating interest rates, etc. On the plus side, she also couldn’t have foreseen the remarkable things in her future, such as winning numerous industry awards, being one of the first builder in Ohio to be certified as a Green Professional by the National Association of Home Builders and succeeding as one of the very few women builders in the Cleveland area.

“I credit a lot of my longstanding success to growing up around my dad, Jack Goldberg, who was also a builder,” she says. “He taught me everything I know about construction, especially how to overcome issues that may arise.”

Michelle is at an exciting juncture in her career, with only three of her cluster homes left on the market in The Reserve at Pine Lakes Village in Strongsville. Later this spring, she’s also preparing to break ground on 21 more desirable lots in the development.

“My homes appeal to buyers looking to transition to a more manageable space, yet want it to seem open and airy, with high-end finishes like granite counters and luxurious cabinetry,” adds Michelle, who is at the jobsite daily. “Maybe they are still working but are empty nesters and want to be unburdened from a big two-story home. People also mention they love the maximum amount of storage my homes offer, with walk-in closets and pantries. The cluster neighborhood is nestled within a bigger subdivision, which includes a clubhouse, covered pavilions, picnic and playground areas.”

Kensington Homes is located within The Reserve at Pine Lake Village in Strongsville. Call 216-509-6393 or visit KensingtonHomesInc.com for more information.
