When it comes to fundraising, the Lake County YMCA is always on the lookout for novel ways to engage the community. This year, they are expanding their Dream Car Raffle by adding a package that includes a loaded Chevy Traverse LT, a fun-filled weekend in Amish Country, mountain bikes, and a gas card to get you there.

“Taking the place of our Dream Home fundraiser, the Dream Car Raffle will be our biggest fundraiser of the year,” says Kelly Penzenik, director of marketing and communications for the nonprofit organization.

She says the YMCA is extremely grateful to the Chevy Network of Dealers and Classic Chevrolet Mentor, generous and longtime friends, for stepping up and donating the Traverse to help raise critical dollars needed to support the community.

The YMCA’s goal is to raise $300,000. All proceeds will go right back into supporting Lake County’s most vulnerable residents. No one is ever turned away from Y membership or programming because of an inability to pay.

“Now more than ever, our need is great,” says Lake County YMCA CEO Dick Bennett.

“One of the groups the Y impacts the most is families, so putting together a package of a great summer getaway for the family on the go speaks to our strengths.”

The winner of the giveaway will receive:

• The Chevy Traverse LT, a midsize crossover SUV, valued at $43,000
• A weekend trip to The Barn Inn bed and breakfast in the heart of Amish Country
• Two mountain bikes with car rack and helmets
• A $100 gas card

Purchase tickets online for the 2021 Lake County YMCA Dream Car Raffle at LakeCountyYMCA.org/dreamcar and take a virtual tour of the Chevy Traverse, compliments of The Chevy Network and Classic Chevrolet. Tickets are on sale now through midnight, Sunday, July 4. Starting Tuesday, June 1, tickets can also be purchased by calling 440-354-5656, ext. 132, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The semi-final drawing is Wednesday, July 7, and the final drawing is Sunday, July 11. There is no cash option. The winner takes the car as is. All taxes are responsibility of the owner.
