Working with a travel agent from Firefly Travels just makes traveling easy
By Mary Malik
There’s a reason why just the thought of planning a trip can be enough to make you stay home. Trip planning takes work, time and can cause headaches before, during and after. Kristen Keeney, owner of Firefly Travels, simplifies the process, makes it more cost effective and the result is a custom-designed dream vacation where all you and your family have to do is relax and enjoy.
“Firefly Travels has 16 agents ready to make any trip as seamless as possible,” says Kristen. “All agents are extensively trained in the Firefly process and in the processes of all the vendors we work with. They have everything at their disposal to plan your weekend getaway or a multi-generational, weeks-long European vacation and everything in between.”
To accommodate their clients and offer a convenient place to meet, Firefly Travels is opening a storefront in the heart of Chardon on December 1.
“We are so excited about having a brick-and-mortar presence in our community,” says Kristen. “Now, when you make an appointment, you have a convenient location to meet with your agent, or just stop by when you’re in town. It’s an open-door, family environment and we’d love to see you.”
That “family environment” Kristen talks about is important to all the agents at Firefly Travels. From Disney trips and cruises to European excursions, agents love planning the vacation where you and your family will create memories to last a lifetime.
Firefly has a program that creates the itinerary for your trip from the moment you leave the house to the moment you return home. Just download the app on your phone and every detail of your trip is right in the palm of your hand.
“It’s extremely detailed, down to which way to turn when you’re in the airport,” says Kristen. “Now, more than ever, people see the value we offer. We’re here for you before, during and after for questions, complications or changes.”
Covid-19 was certainly difficult for the travel industry, but Kristen says that even though the downtime was a little frustrating, she used it to improve her process and grow so that when things got back to normal, Firefly Travels was ready.
“People are ready to go again,” says Kristen. “And we advise that even if you’re on the fence, book trips now if you’re thinking about travel next year. There is so much demand and you can always change your plans, but if you wait you may not get the flights, hotels, restaurants and activities you want, and prices may be much higher at the last minute.”
Not only can you cancel if need be but working with Firefly can often save you money.
“We get access to promotions and events that clients wouldn’t get on their own,” says Kristen. “Things like theme park tickets, hotel rooms, cruises, even flights, we keep up with all your bookings until the day you leave. If prices go down, we rebook and you save money. It’s just one more advantage of working with us.”
Kristen often gets calls from non-clients in a panic, experiencing a problem like sudden cancellation or inability to get in touch with a company.
“I always wish they were clients because if a problem comes up, we handle it for you,” she says. “My advice, next time choose Firefly Travels.”
