With The Venue at Danny Boys nearing completion, now is the time to book your special event
By Patricia Nugent
Broadview Heights’ newest special event venue comes with a storied past and tried-and-true reputation for amazing fare, atmosphere and gracious hospitality. The management team at Danny Boys Pizza is thrilled to announce it’s finalizing construction on The Venue at Danny Boys.
“It’s been our goal since opening back in 2013 to transform our spacious second floor into the ideal destination for memorable gatherings,” says Owner Operator Matt Hollingsworth. “Working with the City of Broadview Heights has been an exciting journey and we’re thrilled to currently be finishing the approvals for the banquet space and paving an expansive parking lot to accommodate it. Our restaurants have become a Northeast Ohio tradition since 1991 and people know what to expect of our food and service levels.”
The signature nostalgic charm of the restaurant (think Rat Pack and vintage memorabilia) takes a more modern and elegant slant within The Venue upstairs, with shades of creams and grays, porcelain flooring and a gleaming granite-topped bar.
“There aren’t a lot of event spaces in our area,” says Matt. “At 3,000 square feet, and featuring all the latest audio-visual equipment, we see The Venue as an ideal setting for gatherings of 50 to 150 people, including weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners, celebrations of life, family reunions, graduation parties, corporate and civic meetings, seminars and workshops, networking events and holiday parties, as well as murder mystery nights and live music shows.”
Perfect Place for I Dos
Owner Operator Elena Rego reports they already have had interested brides inquiring about The Venue. The host of amenities includes a dance floor, state-of-the-art sound system, new lighting and expanded full-service kitchen.
Danny Boys is already famous for its award-winning pizzas, pastas, salads, wings and authentic rustic Italian dishes featuring inventive flavor combos and the freshest from-scratch ingredients. You’ll find their most popular dishes from the menu available at The Venue. Elena mentions they can customize any dishes to fit the occasion.
“Whether plated or buffet-style sit-down events, we’ll tap into our decades of catering and special event planning experience,” she says. “We’ll consult with brides and grooms and do tastings to create a menu that’s reflective of them. Choices will range from classics like Chicken Marsala and Chef-Carved Prime Rib to interesting ethnic plates such as Beef Kabobs and Pierogis.”
When it comes to spirits, whether beer and wine or top-shelf labels, the team at The Venue can help create the ideal complement to suit any fare.
“We take care of setting a unique mood for events, including offering color-coordinated linens, fine glassware, tables, fancy spindled Chiavari metal chairs and centerpieces if needed,” she adds.
Stay Tuned for the Open House
The Venue might not be open until mid- to late-summer, but Elena reports that in the meantime, she’s been booking their special event section of the restaurant for spring and summer parties.
“People have a private space with plenty of room for gatherings and meetings,” she says.
Look for announcement of an Open House Celebration and Ribbon-cutting event for The Venue closer to its opening in mid- to late-summer.
