With just a few remaining openings, Impact Landscape & Home Remodeling can get you on the pool installation schedule for summer
By Laura Briedis
The summer solstice in June, signaling the onset of summer, is the longest day of the year. And though we start to lose a little daylight from this point on, summertime fun has just started. If you have been thinking about getting an in-ground pool, you still have time.
“There has been such a high demand for pools these past couple years that we felt adding in-ground pools to our services was a natural extension of our landscape and remodeling business,” says Joe Chiera, who, along with his wife, Kristen, owns Impact Landscape & Home Remodeling. “So many of the customers we landscape for are also interested in pools. We are known for backyard landscapes that turn homes into more of a resort oasis, with outdoor kitchens, pavilions, fountains and fire pits. And now we can do it all.”
Impact Landscape installs fiberglass pools manufactured by Thursday Pools. They come in all shapes and sizes, as well as colors ranging from Caribbean Sparkle for a bright blue to Graphite Gray that reflects a steel-blue water color.
“Fiberglass pools are very low maintenance,” says Joe, noting there is no liner, they don’t need re-plastering and you won’t snag swimwear.
Handcrafted by artisans in a factory-controlled environment, fiberglass pools are designed with upscale features such as tanning ledges and beach entry slopes. They also come with an option for an automatic pool cover for added pool safety and to keep debris out of the water. The cover operates electronically, either with a touch pad or key switch, to close up the pool tightly when it’s not in use.
Working with Impact Landscape, you can create a pool style that’s uniquely yours. Whether you want a beach entry pool with easy-enter and exit sloping, or a sunken spa area with spillover into the main pool, the company can install the pool that works best with your backyard space.
And the expert landscaping crew can also build hardscapes around your pool and plant trees and shrubs to soften up the edges.
With each landscape project, the company creates a detailed plan, which is meticulously hand drawn by Russ Luyster, the landscape designer. A seasoned horticulturist, he doesn’t rely on computer templates. Russ designs by hand a custom plan for each home, which can include trees, shrubs, flowering perennials, boulders, lighting, patios, pergolas and other hardscapes.
“We dig the ground and set the pool and design everything around it, like outdoor kitchens, pergolas and lighting. It all goes hand-in-hand,” says Joe.
If you are lucky enough to already have a pool, Impact Landscape can renovate your backyard landscaping. And for those who don’t want a pool but want a smaller water feature, they can build ponds, fountains and pondless waterfalls.
“We are busy installing pools this summer but have a couple slots still open for those who want a pool this year,” says Joe. “Or, if you want to be first on the list for next spring, call us now to reserve your spot.”
