Who’s looking after your insurance coverage?

When was the last time your insurance agent really looked at your insurance coverage? Sometimes you’ve been with a carrier for so long things happen automatically, like increases in premiums, and you don’t question or even notice. When no one is looking after you, mistakes and gaps in coverage happen.

I recently saved more than $5,000 in premiums for a client grossly overpaying for inadequate home and auto coverage. Insurance is ever-changing, and if there isn’t ongoing communication with your agent to update your needs, things are missed.

I know the days of having your neighborhood insurance agent over for dinner might be long gone, but it isn’t a bad idea. Now don’t get me wrong, I won’t be showing up at your home and there are some clients I haven’t actually met in person, but I know who they are, and I understand their needs.
