Last year, a Daveron Mayfield Village client wanted her kitchen transformed into a French country retreat, complete with a sitting area where she and her husband could relax, enjoy their coffee and gaze out the window into their oasis-like backyard.
“The client wanted to be transported to Europe while in her kitchen,” Sarah says. “We worked within the original footprint of the galley kitchen, played with the design and created a seating area that didn’t crowd the space.”
After a visit to the home with the owner of our sister company, an Amish woodworking company, the team was able to design a beautiful seating area in the middle of the new kitchen along with custom cabinetry for additional storage. Rustic beams finished the French country look the client was going for.
“They were thrilled with the finished design, and we couldn’t have done it without our Amish partners and our entire construction team,” Sarah said. “It’s always a team effort with Daveron, and that’s what sets us apart.”

The process begins with a phone call and a brief interview with Sarah to understand the scope of your project and discuss budget.
“We never want to introduce something that will be uncomfortable financially,” Sarah says. “No one is happy when feeling financial pressure. Knowing the budget up front allows us to focus on the best options for you within that budget and having a dedicated woodworking company at our disposal allows us to get creative and add custom touches for less.”
Once you decide to move along in the process, Sarah comes to your home, takes photos and measurements and starts on your design. Your in-studio meeting at Daveron’s showroom is next, where the 3D rendering puts you right inside your new space and gives you a true visual of the design while allowing for any changes.
“This is a comprehensive proposal,” Sarah says. “It includes labor, materials, a design board, everything the client needs to envision the final outcome and cost. There are no surprises. Our goal is to simplify, lessen your stress and make it enjoyable.”
For the Mayfield Village kitchen, Sarah says the client knew what she wanted and had even picked out her tile that was ordered from California.
“They were reproductions of tiles Monet had in his home,” Sarah says. “She also had a plate collection she wanted incorporated in the design so wood from an old chicken feeder from her grandfather’s barn was used to make a shelf over her door, plus a handful of other special rustic antiques. Pleasant Valley built the custom cabinets around her items and we made it all work.”
