Celebrating its one-year anniversary in downtown Valley City, KMS Beauty Lab offers a luxurious salon experience that lends love to your locks with a side of pure pampering.
With a rustic/elegant/minimalist décor, where wood beams are complemented by crystal chandeliers, owner Sasha Vilimonovic says she was going for a feel that would evoke serenity and calm, an oasis in a client’s otherwise busy day. Along with fellow stylists Jessica Andrade and Loretta Vandiver, the trio offers a host of haircut, color and treatment services, as well as waxing.

Sasha and her team look at hair with a different perspective than most hairdressers.
“Thanks to advanced treatments and products, we are able to help our clients achieve their goals, whether that means taming curly hair by offering the Deva Cutting method on dry hair, to smoothing and volumizing by restructuring hair via Brazilian Blowouts and Keratin Treatments, to offering two kinds of hair extensions that add length and volume,” she says.
Her relationships with cutting-edge hair product manufacturers led Sasha to curate the best of the best, including Goldwell, a line out of Germany, as well as a vegan line called Authentic Beauty Concept.
“As professionals, we feel it’s our job to make sure our clients are using the proper products at home to care for their type of hair,” says Sasha.

Sasha points out that many of their clients are men, especially ones who are ready for a different experience than barber shops.
“Gentlemen enjoy a little extra pampering, such as warm towels and a scalp massage,” she says.

“This is the best my hair has ever looked,” he says. “Jessica takes time with our visit, blow-drying my hair after cutting it and showing me the best products to use to duplicate my style at home. I’m not someone who likes crispy, crunchy hair, so she worked with me to find a product that feels barely there.”

“Sasha recommended the Brazilian Blowout and it was a game-changer,” she says. “It cut my drying time in half and smoothed away frizz. The service lasted about four months. Before these treatments, to save time I’d just wear my hair up every day. Now I can wear it down and it looks exactly how I want it to.”
Katrina adds that when she moved here with her family from Washington D.C. last year, she had trouble finding a salon that was the same caliber as her previous one, until she found KMS.
