The Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) will hold its signature gala event, the Pawsibility Ball, on Saturday, August 28th, at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. This event celebrates animal rescue and raises funds for over 2,000 animals saved, rehabilitated, and adopted through the Humane Society of Summit County each year. This year’s event is presented by Kerri L. T. Bowman, DVM, DACVS & R. Mark Daye, DVM, DACVS, Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, The Remen Family Foundation, and Judge Mary F. Spicer, Retired.

HSSC is proud to honor this year’s Animal Hero, Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, a 24/7/365 emergency and specialty care hospital, providing the highest quality veterinary care to the pets of Summit County and beyond.

Guests of the Pawsibility Ball will enjoy a gourmet dinner, silent auction, a moving tribute to the 2021 Animal Hero, and an unforgettable showcase of adoptable dogs, cats, and critters. This year’s event will feature a new way to support the cause through a Dream Vacation Raffle, with a chance to win exciting getaways to exotic destinations including Florida, Mexico, and more.

Both event guests and the public will be able to participate in the silent auction and the Dream Vacation Raffle online. Event tickets, sponsorships, silent auction, Dream Vacation Raffle tickets and more info are available online at summithumane.org/pball.

“We are excited the Pawsibility Ball will be once again fully in-person this year,” says HSSC President and CEO Diane Johnson-Owens. “When you support the Pawsibility Ball, you provide rescue, lifesaving care, rehabilitation, and hope through adoption to Summit County’s animals who have nowhere else to turn. These services are only made possible through the generous support of our community. Please join us.”
