New Digs for Local Attorney
When Kitchen and Bath Designer Jillian Brickman worked with attorney Heather Moseman recently, they began with a roughly 500-square-foot space taken down to the studs.

Jillian says Heather wanted to blend her existing cherry furniture and a few select pieces of artwork into the new decor.

“The goal was warm and inviting, cozy, yet modern and professional,” says Jillian. “We went with broadloom carpet in a medium gray in her office, and deep brown LVT in the reception area. For the wet bar, to complement the rich wood tones, we opted for light gray cabinetry and a bold blue color palette. We sourced a remnant countertop to save on the budget, a light quartz with gray veining, nodding to the subtle hints of gray within the design.”

According to Heather, it was a mission accomplished.

“Working with Guhde Flooring and Jillian made the creation of my new office space easy,” says Heather. “She helped guide me to flooring, cabinetry, countertops and paint colors that have made my new space comfortable and soothing. I could not have done it without her help. Guhde Flooring provides great quality with great service.”

According to Office Manager Monica Guhde, over the years they’ve also formed partnerships with many big names on the local interior designer scene. In fact, Jillian began as an independent designer working with them. She valued the relationship, and when the full-time job for kitchen and bath designer became available, she interviewed and got it.

Landmark Transformation
Built in 1988, what was formerly the 18,000-square-foot, three-story Polo Building on Center Street in Mentor was taken down to the concrete and girders and reimagined to become the Platinum Center.

“For us, the monumental job meant bringing a former landmark back to life,” says Monica.

Working with Denise Zervos, who heads up Platinum Real Estate, the new building is decidedly posh.

“We did everything from the flooring to cabinetry, backsplashes and 3D accent wall in the reception lounge,” says Monica. “She wanted an eclectic vibe that swung modern, yet retained the history of the space, keeping the exposed ceilings juxtaposed with funky crystal chandeliers.”
