Suzy Beatrice has made it her mission to help local folks choose the Medicare plan that’s right for them

For the 10,000 people turning 65 each day, the landscape of maximizing Medicare benefits—with an open enrollment beginning Tuesday, October 15, and running through Saturday, December 7—can be complex and confusing.
As an experienced and licensed senior insurance agent/broker, Suzy Beatrice became Medicare certified to expand her expertise to individuals as well as small businesses. She leveraged her longstanding career in Human Resources and Employee Benfits to hang her own shingle with BHR Solutions in 2018. She has partnered with Morgan Benefits in Chagrin Falls to offer Medicare services to individuals.
“The Medicare enrollment process can seem convoluted, with many long-term considerations in selecting a plan that fits your needs and budget,” says the Lyndhurst native, who graduated from Notre Dame Academy and John Carroll University. “Clients appreciate that I come to their homes and walk through every step of the enrollment process. We review their specific financial and health care needs and I recommend the best options for them.”
Suzy’s service is complimentary, as she receives compensation from the major insurance companies she represents.
“Based on each client’s needs they are able to select the Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug or Medicare Advantage Plan that is best for them,” she explains. “Not all plans offer the same benefits versus out-of-pocket costs. While many people enroll Original Medicare (Part A & B), I advise people that with Medicare Advantage Plans, Parts A and B are included and in many MA plans Part D (Prescription Drugs) are also included for one monthly premium.
Suzy sits down with clients one on one while on the computer to do the enrollment, so they have peace of mind everything is done correctly. She’ll even get on the phone with the client and Social Security if there are questions or unique issues.
“Changes for 2025 include some significant changes to Part D Prescription Drug Plans and there will be other changes as well. I consult CMS.gov to keep current with the upcoming changes along with my annual training and pass that information on to my clients,” says Suzy.
She also undergoes continuing education and is recertified each year.
Not surprisingly, nearly all her business has come to her by word of mouth from other pleased clients.
“I love being able to help people feel safe and comfortable in their decisions,” she says. “I make it my job to be as objective as possible in terms of their financial goals. It means a lot to me to be the voice of reason and trust that people turn to.”
What her Clients are Saying
Jennifer H. of Shaker Heights is turning 65 this year and needed to register for Social Security.
“Looking for information and advice, I turned to Suzy Beatrice for help,” says Jennifer. “She set up an appointment at a time and place that was convenient for me. A consummate professional, she clearly explained my options, taking into consideration my specific situation. There are steps I need to take in the meantime, but we have agreed to meet again in October once the new plans are available. I am looking forward to continuing this journey accompanied by a true expert.”
HR Consultations
For business with five employees to 5,000, Suzy can step in and act as an HR Director and provides a range of HR guidance on an hourly freelance basis.
“I have experience in every aspect of HR, including recruiting to compliance, employee relations, benefits, HRIS and Payroll systems, revising handbooks and policy,” she says, noting that she has clients all over the country across manufacturing, service and distribution businesses. “Sometimes I go to the companies in person, and other times they prefer we work together virtually. Pretty much the only HR function I don’t do is payroll.”
Headquartered at 300 Park Place Suite B, in Chagrin Falls, Suzy Beatrice will go to homes and businesses all over Northeast Ohio to meet their consultation needs.
