Green’s popular Sunrise Social is well known as a regional destination for brunch classics, like Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, and Eggs Benedict, but co-owners Lisa Houck and Jeannie Hopkins also treat guests to a fast and fabulous lunch, featuring their gourmet take on sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads and more—all made with that same attention to quality and freshness, including slow-roasting their own corned beef and making all sauces in-house.

Let’s take a deeper dive into the menu:

The new Insalata Caprese Croissant is fresh mozzarella, hand-sliced heirloom tomatoes, avocado and freshly dressed greens drizzled with a balsamic glaze reduction and basil pesto—all served on a toasted croissant. Enjoy it vegetarian or add your choice of egg or bacon.

The Classic Caesar Salad is freshly chopped romaine lettuce tossed in the chefs’ creamy Caesar dressing and topped with seasoned croutons. Sounds like the classic version until it arrives in a crispy Parmesan cheese basket. It’s even more outside of the box topped with buffalo shrimp.

The Ancient Grains Bowl is a special blend of grains tossed in house-made vinaigrette and topped with cucumber salad, sliced heirloom tomato, crispy seasoned chickpeas, feta and spicy aioli. All that is then topped with two cage-free eggs.

Then, of course, there is Sunrise Social’s Ultimate Corned Beef. It’s that slow-roasted corned beef piled high on sourdough with Swiss cheese, pepper jam and…wait for it…kimchi.

Sunrise Social’s bright and whimsical murals were hand painted by local artist Kelle Schwab.

Other favorites include the Coconut Milk Chai Pudding Bowl—house-made granola, honey, chocolate and fresh fruit—and the Morning Burger, which is a Wagyu patty topped with candied bacon, a cage-free egg and havarti served on an English muffin.

Perfect for brunch or lunch is the Shrimp & Grits—shrimp sautéed in a Cajun sauce over stone-ground cheesy grits.

Cocktails, Too
Sunrise Social is ideal for quick business lunches or enjoying a relaxing mid-day occasion by adding a refreshing beverage, including a wide selection of spirits, craft beers, Bloody Marys and margarita and mimosa flights.

And forget diner-style coffee. Sunrise Social serves gourmet specialty coffees—lattes, espressos, cappuccinos, macchiatos and more—using beans by Akron Coffee Roasters. And if you buy special a Sunrise Social coffee cup, you get a free refill.
