A family-owned business founded in 1981, Olivieri & Son has solved and repaired hundreds of problems in homes in Northeast Ohio—earning the company the reputation of being one of the waterproofing experts in town.

Led by the father-and-son team of Rocco and Mark Olivieri, the company goes to great depths to fix leaky basements the right way.

In addition to waterproofing basements, Olivieri & Son also can rebuild foundations when necessary.

Most companies try to repair foundation leaks from the inside of the basement by re-channeling the invading water back outside. That, insists Rocco, isn’t the ideal way to do it.

“The best way is to prevent the water from penetrating your walls to begin with,” Rocco says. “That’s why we fix the problem from the outside.”

The excavation is backfilled with premium washed gravel to direct water to the drain tile.

Olivieri & Son begins the repair process by excavating the leaky wall all the way to the footer. They then wash the foundation to clean the debris and highlight any cracks where moisture may be entering. Those cracks are patched and sealed with sealants, and then tar rubber emulsion is rolled on from footer to grade to prevent moisture from entering the wall. The excavation is backfilled with premium washed gravel to direct water to the drain tile.

In addition to basement waterproofing, the company does so much more as it can handle all things underground. Olivieri & Son personally services these specialties:

• Foundation Straightening

• Foundation Rebuilding

• Sewer Inspection

• Concrete Solutions

• Excavating

Since 1981, Olivieri & Son has been providing homeowners everything from waterproofing, foundation straightening and rebuilding, sewer inspection, concrete solutions, excavating and more.

“We guarantee all of our work and we are licensed, bonded and insured,” Mark says.
