After working on several levels of the clinical counseling arena in the Cleveland area—from crisis care in a hospital setting to counseling in schools and other practices—I decided to establish my own practice in 2016 and put together a group of like-minded counselors with synergistic specialties.

During and following the pandemic, people have become more aware of the importance of caring for their mental health—and the evolution of telehealth services has skyrocketed. For anyone who is hesitant or anxious, this is such a comfortable and flexible way to fit counseling into your life. Patients can schedule around busy schedules, often fitting in appointments during their lunch hour. Right now, about half of our patient load sees us through virtual appointments, which are just as effective as in-person ones.

One of our newest counselors is Pamela Slane, Ph.D. She recently moved here from Chicago. Pamela enjoys working with children and adolescents, as well as doing family counseling through modalities including movement therapy, art therapy and other evidence-based approaches. She excels at identifying unhealthy patterns, developing coping skills, setting goals and working toward a healthier, whole person. To accommodate busy families, she also works on Sundays, and hopes to add a therapy dog to the mix, soon.

Also new to our practice is licensed acupuncturist Patrick Foye, who offers acupuncture as a means of chronic pain relief, treating PTSD and seasonal allergies and aiding in recovery from surgery and injury.
