Not a moment of the 20 minutes spent during a MaxStrength Fitness workout is wasted. Here’s why that made a difference for Bob Bove

As a successful wealth advisor, Bob Bove of The 4:8 Group is hyper-focused on planning for the future by ensuring the best return on investment, all while protecting current assets and forging fortuitous relationships built on trust.

He runs his life pretty much the same as his company.

“You only get this one body, this one mind,” he says. “My goal is to keep both in top shape as I age.”

Ten years ago, at age 58, he was doing lots of cardio, running in marathons, bicycling and golfing. He understood the age-defying benefits of strength training and muscle gaining, but was burned out on CrossFit, which had left him with several overuse injuries.

A client of his told him about MaxStrength Fitness. Though he was a little skeptical at first that two 20-minute workouts a week could produce results, Bob gave it a try.

“I admire efficiency,” he says. “This exercise protocol is amazingly efficient. I love the temperature-controlled studio, which makes for no-sweat workouts. The exercises are not easy, but they work. The elite level of trainers and equipment make a real difference. For me, stamina is as important as strength. I’m a drummer and that can be a strenuous activity to sustain.”

Not a Moment is Wasted
Bob subscribes to a favorite quote from Warren Buffet: “When the people you want to love you love you—that’s success.”

Spending meaningful active time with his family, which includes wife Laurie, two grown daughters and three grandchildren, is one of the main reasons he’s stayed with MSF for nearly a decade.

“I plan to remain an engaged part of their lives, playing basketball and crawling around on the ground with my grandkids, and strength training is my path to ensuring that happens,” he says. “MSF founder Jeff Tomaszewski believes passionately in his mission to help people live happy and pain-free lives. I feel fortunate to be part of that mission. The team he’s put together—I train mostly with Dominic Coduti—is extremely knowledgeable and professional. My time is valuable and at MaxStrength, not a moment is wasted.”

Metabolism 101
Jeff has earned a reputation for diving deep into the science behind reaching an optimal level of fitness.

His newsletters, which you can sign up for at MaxStrengthFitness.com, cover a breadth of topics. Recently, he explored metabolism, how to up-regulate your metabolic processes, lose weight more quickly and down-regulate your aging genes.

“There might not be a magic bullet to lose weight, but there is a master switch,” says Jeff. “Stacking up a few tweaks to diet and lifestyle can make a profound impact. Taking in factors such as not skipping meals, eating enough muscle-building protein (around 1 gram per every pound of your body weight), strength training, getting enough good-quality sleep and avoiding stress all play a role in raising your metabolism.”

He says if your goal is to gain, lose or maintain your weight, it’s simply a matter of balancing the food you take in with the energy you expend every day.
