“My dad and I opened Eyes on Chagrin nine years ago with the goal of creating a comprehensive experience,” says owner, Kevin Kretch, LDO. “This is what separates us from every other option for eyewear. “We have frames starting at $99 all the way up to $3,000,” says Kevin. “Each of the manufacturers you will find here specializes in making frames, often by hand.”

“I find frames from some pretty obscure places,” says Kevin. “If you’re looking for something truly unique and you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist. Our standards are very high. Whether you’re looking to make a statement with your frames, you need something to wear when you’re not wearing contacts, or you just don’t wear glasses very often, we have you covered with unique, high-quality frames. My goal is always luxury at every price point, and we’ve achieved that with our frame designers.”

The staff at Eyes on Chagrin includes an on-site optometrist offering fully comprehensive eye exams. Every routine examination includes testing for eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye and more. And with a full-service lab on site as well, Eyes on Chagrin has the capability of supplying customers with glasses in one hour.

“We do it all here,” says Kevin. “We offer super high-end, handmade custom eyeglasses fashioned from exotic materials, and also simpler, more understated styles. There’s something for everyone in your family. Even if you need a quick pair in an hour, we can take care of you. We are building relationships here. We spend time with you and get you what you need. It’s as simple as that.”

Once your exam is over and you’ve chosen the perfect frames, Eyes on Chagrin really sets itself apart with custom lenses and custom eyewear measurements. “We use a technology called OPTIKAM that allows our optician to take more precise and accurate digital measurements of your eyes,” says Kevin. “These extra steps allow the lenses to be custom fitted to each patient based on the frames they have chosen. This technology helps us to achieve better vision for our customers.”

The passion and concern for all things related to vision is what motivates Kevin to encourage everyone not to neglect their eyes.

“People are used to the way they see and often don’t realize they actually could be seeing much better,” says Kevin. “Eye exams also can detect issues that, when caught early, can be treated or even eliminated.
