New, more effective injectables

We have a saying in our office, “We don’t care how old you are, we care how young you look.”

To that end, as soon as new, more effective injectables are introduced, we research them thoroughly and evaluate their value to our patients. Two of the newest we are offering—Daxxify and RHA dermal filler—are producing beautiful results.

As a neuromodulator, Daxxify is a peptide engineered to last longer than Botox. It is injected the same way. Clinical studies have shown that at least half of the patients had minor or no lines after six months, depending on the severity of the lines to begin with.

I can say from being a test patient that mine lasted a little over five months, which is longer than Botox ever lasted for me.

As with all neuromodulators, touch-ups are sometimes needed. Cost is dependent on the area being treated, but generally Daxxify should cost a little less than Botox.

Fillers are another modality we use to sculpt the face for a more youthful esthetic.

The new RHA, Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, dermal filler’s formula is very close to the hyaluronic acid that naturally exists in your skin. RHA has been shown to stretch better with your skin for a more natural effect

Different types of RHA are meant to address different areas of concern, such as laugh lines, cheeks and marionette lines.

The injection is essentially the same as traditional fillers. While every case is different, RHA fillers were shown in clinical trials to last longer.
