Ryan Tompot has always struggled with his weight. As a married father with young children, he knew his unhealthy eating habits were affecting the food choices his kids made. “They were eating horribly, but I didn’t know how to point them in a different direction,” he says. “I was raised on processed foods that came out of a box, so that’s what I fed my kids.”

Done with feeling sluggish, depressed, ashamed and unattractive, Ryan decided to get serious about losing 30 pounds. “I’d tried to do it myself for years and would fail time and time again,” he recalls. “I’d start to get bigger, hate myself, try to lose weight, fail, then get a little bigger. It was a bad cycle.”

Ryan learned about the Healthy One Weight Loss program offered by Dr. Frank Dachtler and Dr. Brian Miles and decided to give it a try.

“What I like best about this program is that it’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle change,” Ryan said. “The plan was easy to follow and simply laid out in a step-by-step format. Anyone can do it.”

Surprisingly, the hardest part about starting the HealthyOne Weight Loss program for Ryan had nothing to do with the program itself.

“My pride was the toughest hurdle to overcome,” he shares. “Walking in there and having to admit to yourself and others that you need help is hard. Once you do, however, it’s a whirlwind of change. The doctor and staff are really great at keeping you motivated. But they also genuinely care about your success.”

Dr. Dachtler says the accountability really works to keep people on task. “When you have to answer to someone it makes it more real,” he says.

The cost of the program, which Ryan describes as a small price to pay when he takes into account all of the support that’s included, also includes all materials, appointments and required supplementation. “I absolutely think it was a good value,” Ryan says. “The team is passionate about helping people lose weight, and I know I can lean on them any time I need a push to stay on track.”

By following Dr. Dachtler’s recommendations, Ryan dropped 27 pounds in 42 days and he didn’t have to starve himself to do it. Drinking lots of water, he reveals, was one of the secrets. Presently he is in phase three of the program, and he continues to receive support.

“Weight loss needs to be sustained so you can stay healthy year after year,” Dr. Dachtler explains. “With our plan, you have one doctor, either Dr. Miles or myself, dedicated to your success, and we maintain contact even after you’ve reached your goal.”

Ryan’s program is unique to him, just as yours will be unique to you. “By finding out which factors will play into effective, permanent weight loss for you, we set you up for success,” Dr. Dachtler says. “That starts with a personal evaluation and a commitment to making a change.”
