At Kiba Studios, the harmony of form and function is paramount, ensuring that every aspect of your kitchen is stunning and practical.

By design, Kiba Studios is a showroom within a showroom, complementing MDG Flooring America in Medina, serving as your ultimate destination for home transformation—from flooring to studio designs, featuring brands like Cambria, Fieldstone, Kemper, James Martin, Moen, Hanstone, and Wolf, among others.

It’s an effort to create a seamless, stress-free experience for you to envision and execute all the home improvement projects you’ve ever aspired to with collaboration from experts.

“We invite you to visit us, browse, and, when you’re ready, engage in a complimentary personalized consultation,” General Sales Manager Christie Jackson says. “We’ll discuss your vision, priorities, must-haves and desired finishes. Our expertise spans fixtures, sinks, countertops and backsplashes, coordinating with MDG’s flooring selections.”

A comprehensive checklist during and after the consultation documents every aspect of your vision, ensuring no detail gets overlooked.

“Before installation, we conduct a final, on-site visit to verify all details,” Christie says. “Once confirmed, we order your materials and schedule a convenient time for installation, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish. I should also say materials are readily available for DIY enthusiasts, those working with other contractors, and anyone just looking to find that perfect touch or accent piece.”

A complimentary consultation yields a custom design package, and in-home measurements get reimbursed upon order. Yet no discussion of your kitchen remodel would be complete without touching on cabinets and countertops.

“Greens are trending,” Christie notes. “Nothing makes a bolder statement right now than emerald green. Two-toned cabinets are also in vogue.”

According to the experts, two-toned cabinets can blend or break up design elements, depending on whether the pared-down palette is composed of complementary or contrasting colors.

“White remains a classic favorite, offering a clean, timeless look,” Christie adds. “Natural finishes and muted colors are gaining popularity. Again, green is big, and on that side of the spectrum, sage green is catching up to gray as the go-to alternative for a white feel.”

Clean lines, sleek surfaces and understated hardware further accentuate a sense of tranquility in the kitchen, according to Christie, adding, “We customize pull-out drawers, cabinet sizes and door styles to meet your preferences.”

While the form and function of your countertop choice might seem simple enough, there are durability, maintenance and suitability considerations.

“Quartz countertops are known for their esthetic appeal and come in a wide variety of colors and patterns that can complement any kitchen design,” Christie says. “However, they are not as heat-resistant as granite, so avoiding placing hot pots and pans directly on the surface is essential. Using trivets and heat pads can help prevent damage.”

“On the other hand, granite countertops are more heat-resistant, making them a better choice for kitchens with a lot of hot cookware,” she adds. “While granite offers excellent functionality and durability, it might not provide the same range of design options as quartz.”
