Kitchen trends come and go each season, but Kaye Construction helps homeowners avoid getting caught up in the current design frenzy and instead focus on what they actually love.

Do you really want to be the homeowner who still has the pickled oak kitchen cabinets that went out of style as fast as they came in? Or wonder what were you thinking when you installed a desk in your kitchen while it was all the rage in the 1990s, but now it just ends up with stacks of paper and clutter?

At Kaye Construction, the remodelers have creative design ideas and the technical skills to make you love your home for years to come, and the company is redefining what it means to say out with the old and in with the new. When remodeling, home décor can actually be anything you want it to be. If you love blue cabinets, then go for it. If you want to add a bold backsplash, that’s fine because years down the road it’s an easy change. If you want to buck all the current gray-tone flooring choices, go ahead and keep the warm browns that make you feel cozy.

Though Kaye Construction does it all—from bathrooms and home additions to basements and outdoor decks—they specialize in kitchen renovations and can completely transform your living space into a culinary masterpiece.

With their trademark beards—depicted in the company logo—the Kaye family has earned a reputation for quality workmanship. Working in the home remodeling industry for more than a quarter-century, Ron learned skills from both of his grandfathers, one the ultimate do-it-yourselfer and the other a farmer, and would work side-by-side with them on home projects when he was a teenager, learning all he could from his role models. Now, a generation later, Ron has passed along his know-how and work ethic to his sons, Joe and Josh, who he jokingly says were born with a hammer in one hand and a screwdriver in the other.

“You will find us working together on every project,” says Josh. “Unlike bigger home improvement companies, where you never meet the owners, we oversee each job personally and work side by side. You will see one of us working on the job every day.”

Though the company does it all—from bathrooms and home additions to basements and outdoor decks—they specialize in kitchen renovations and can completely transform your living space into a culinary masterpiece. This past year, the crew has been busy creating dream kitchens for local homeowners all over Northeast Ohio.

With its own design team, Kaye Construction works with homeowners to add functionality to their homes.

This summer it renovated a kitchen for a Columbia Station family to give them more space to gather with family and friends.

“We took down couple of walls dividing the kitchen from a bonus dining room to make one open space,” says Josh. “By reconfiguring the footprint, it gave them so much more usable space and doubled the size of the kitchen.”

The new kitchen features a large island along with a buffet bar in gray-stained Shaker-style cabinets topped with granite countertops. To add the homeowner’s own flair to the kitchen redesign, Kaye Construction installed luxury vinyl planks in greenish-grayish tones to complement the gray cabinets and added a large-format tile backsplash.

“Using 12-by-24 large tiles for the backsplash gave the space a very unique look,” says Josh. “It adds a subtle touch without overpowering the kitchen.”

The company also is putting the final touches on a home in Lakewood, which they describe as “creating a modern take on an older home.”

“We wanted to keep the character and feel of the home, so we left the original hardwood floors intact but enhanced the kitchen by installing a brushed nickel, aged tin ceiling and knotty alder cabinets for a more natural look,” says Josh.

“You don’t always need to add square footage to make your kitchen function better,” he adds. “We always give homeowners different ideas about how they can reconfigure their kitchen and what design elements can give it an entirely new look.

“We can move your stove and refrigerator and reconfigure the space so you can add more cabinets. Not only will this make the house feel bigger, but it also improves the flow.”

Kitchen islands continue to be a popular trend in design and Kaye Construction can create a custom design to maximize style and functionality for your kitchen.

Regardless of whether you want to totally redesign your kitchen or just update the cabinets and countertops, kitchen remodeling tops the list of projects with the highest return on investment.

“It’s time to stop dreaming and get the kitchen you’ve always wanted,” says Josh. “You still have time to remodel your home before the holidays.”
