Join 2piFit’s Drop 2 Sizes 8-Week Challenge and change your shape without counting calories

We all have a favorite pair of jeans that fit just right. Many of us, however, wish “just right” was a couple pants sizes smaller.
That is why 2piFit is launching the Drop 2 Sizes 8-Week Challenge on Monday, January 9, to help you lose weight and tone up. This innovative program uses a pair of jeans, not a scale, to measure progress and motivate you to shed pounds—and keep them off.
“We tell clients not to get fixated on their body measurements or weight,” says Celena Koerber, owner of 2piFit. “During this eight-week program, I tell my clients to put away their scales and don’t count calories. Instead, I tell them to buy a pair of jeans two sizes too small and only use those pants to track how they are progressing. The scale doesn’t always show true progress, as you are building muscle at the same time you’re losing fat. But with a pair of jeans, you will definitely notice how they fit better. Oftentimes, if people get fixated on the scale, it hinders their progress because they get unmotivated when they don’t see the numbers dropping fast enough.”
Last January, everyone who participated in this program dropped two sizes. For Annette, a Medina resident, it was much more than just weight loss.
“I cannot tell you the last time I fit in size 10 pants…at least 20 years, so I am ecstatic,” she comments. “This program helped put me on a healthier and better path that I will continue the rest of my life, and I have learned so much about myself during this program.”
The Drop 2 Sizes 8-Week Challenge program consists of four workouts a week—two strength-training workouts (resistance training) and two metabolic conditioning workouts (interval-based circuit-like workouts).
The 30- to 45-minute workouts take place at 2piFit’s new studio in Wadsworth in a small-group setting consisting of four to six people.
As part of the program, Celena also gives you a nutrition plan so you have all the tools you need to be successful in reaching your goals. She offers tips on how to purge your kitchen of processed foods, calorie-containing beverages and sugar in order to succeed in your weight loss.
“Just like I tell clients not to weigh themselves, I also tell them not to get fixated on counting calories,” says Celena, who is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist and corrective exercise specialist. “It’s more than just about what you eat, as we take a habit-based approach to all the changes you need to make for it to be sustainable. It isn’t about just what you lose, but what you gain—knowledge, control and confidence.”
For Annette, a yo-yo dieter her whole life, the main problem was sugar. “I learned control and discipline with food, especially sugar,” she says. “I could not believe how I lost my craving for sugar in the first week.”
To be able to help more people reach their wellness goals, 2piFit is moving into a facility that is four times larger. Located in Wadsworth, the new training studio is equipped with traditional fitness equipment like cardio rowers and assault bikes, plus there are tires, battle ropes, boxing punching bags, kettlebells and sleds.
“I was growing out of space and the ability to take on new clients, so I opened a 3,600-square-foot studio in order to help more people get on track to a healthier, sustainable lifestyle,” says Celena. “I am passionate about helping people create a lifestyle that is the most healthful moving forward.”
