“No matter your age, your size or personality, we have the styles you’re looking for, from casual outfits and cozy sweaters to dressy dresses,” says owner Laurel Howes. “For all the ladies out there who get so busy and bogged down this time of year that they forget about themselves, I want to say this: Take a deep breath and pop in for some retail therapy. After nearly two years of staying indoors because of Covid and not refreshing your wardrobe, have a little fun. It’s not too late. We have a bevy of holiday looks waiting for you.”
Even though they prefer shoppers come to the store for the full and immersive experience, Laurel says they cater to online shoppers, too, with a very shoppable website. Facebook Live Videos are another interactive and fun way to shop from home.
“Whether it’s the weather, or you’re simply too busy to get out to shop, we make it fun to view fashions and buy, featuring new arrivals and categorizing them,” she says.
What’s Your Style Personality?
“Our ladies are experts at deciphering a shopper’s style personality and fitting it to a tee,” says Laurel. “Everyone has a personal brand of what looks and feels just right on them. This time of year, layers are important. We help people put together versatile looks, topping leggings and jeans with festive shirts and jackets (cropped cardigans are hot), vests, ponchos, pashminas and wraps to cozy up to.”
They also offer a slew of accessories to finish an ensemble, from designer handbags to scarves, gloves, hats, jewelry, shoes and boots.
“I have a little piece of holiday advice for someone who’s going to a party and doesn’t know how to dress,” she says. “You can almost always get away with leggings and a sparkly top. Just bring both high heels and ballet flats with you in the car, and make the shoes match the occasion as soon as you get there. Voila!”
Home Décor
The home décor department takes up about one-third of the It’s So You space for good reason. “We love providing that unique something special to put the spark in any type of décor,” says Laurel.
In addition to hand-picked furniture such as side chairs and accent tables, they carry lamps, rugs, mirrors, wall art, tableware, vases, artwork and florals. You’ll also find beautiful seasonal goodies, from garland and wreathes to holiday centerpieces, mugs, candles and candlesticks.
“Lots of these items make wonderful hostess gifts,” she adds. “A trend this year in hostess gifting is to buy a beautiful platter to bring your food to the party and leave that as the gift. So thoughtful.”
