When a disaster leaves a home damaged from smoke or water, it’s common to see Duraclean on the scene, mitigating the destruction and making things look like new again. But as we all know, smaller disasters happen at our own homes every day.

Fido may have claimed the sofa as his personal fire hydrant. Or last night’s pajama party may have left a grape juice souvenir on the family room rug. Or, maybe an area rug has simply been unattended to for too long and it needs a thorough cleaning. Those also are reasons to call Duraclean, insists Todd Wearsch, president of Duraclean Restoration & Cleaning Services in Avon.

“We can help with routine residential cleaning,” Todd remarks. “A lot of people who recognize us as the go-to company to handle flood and fire restoration services are surprised to learn they can call on us to clean their carpets, floors and furniture—and we have been doing it since 1975.”

In fact, Todd says, Duraclean International is a pioneer in the business, having developed many carpet cleaning patents that go way back to when wall-to-wall carpeting instigated a floor-cleaning revolution.

“If we can handle major catastrophes, you can bet that we can make your living room floor look rejuvenated, fresh and like new again,” he assures.

Duraclean employs a unique two-step process to achieve a deep carpet cleaning. First, your well-trained Duraclean specialist uses a high velocity suction tool to extract gritty dirt from deep down in the pile. That leaves only the atmospheric soil deposits and greasy, clinging grime.

That’s where the second step comes in—the Duraclean foam-absorption process that instantly loosens the tiny molecules of clinging surface soil, absorbs them and holds them in suspension until they are sucked away, leaving the carpet clean all the way down to the base.

Todd points out that the process has been proven to provide superior results in independent laboratory tests.

“Not only does our patented process remove more soil than any other method, but it is environmentally safe and fast drying as well,” he says.

“The results we achieve are our best-selling tool. That’s why we don’t have to resort to coupons, loss leaders and other bait-and-switch gimmicks to generate new business.”

When a two-person Duraclean crew arrives at your home, Todd assures, they’ll have no incentive to up-sell you for additional services. That’s because Duraclean’s techs are not paid on commission.

“We charge based on the square footage of your floors, the size of your area rugs and/or the type of furniture,” Todd says. “We want our technicians to focus on doing the job properly, not trying to sell someone an additional service they don’t want.”

Cleaning area rugs actually requires multiple steps that just can’t be done properly inside someone’s home. Duraclean takes them to its expansive processing facility to be thoroughly washed and dried before they are delivered back to your home.

“Most companies don’t do it this way because they don’t have an in-plant facility to handle it,” Todd says.

“There are many different types of area rugs that range from the machine made synthetic rug you get at a home improvement store to the silk or wool Persian rug that is a family heirloom. Some of them literally have to be cleaned by hand. Whatever type of rug it is, we will process it over and over until it can’t get any cleaner. Sometimes once just isn’t sufficient, as the rug may require multiple cycles. But you will still only pay the same price we quoted you up front.”

Whether the problem is embedded in wall-to-wall carpeting, area rugs or furniture, Duraclean promises to do everything possible to mitigate odors from pets and other sources. If area rugs have been severely violated by pets, these contaminates need to be removed before the cleaning process can begin. This can only be done inside a facility that has the proper space, tools and equipment.

Duraclean also has a proven method to clean tile and grout.

“Our process removes embedded dirt and our truck-mounted extraction cleaning system uses heat combined with a cleaning solution, vacuum and a high-pressure rinse to remove dirt that normal cleaning leaves behind, making your tile and grout clean and refreshed,” he says.

Duraclean Restoration & Cleaning Services has served the community for more than 40 years and is part of an International Franchise that was established in 1930. Todd Wearsch, president and owner of the Avon franchise, has been part of the Duraclean family for over 23 years.

Along with carpet cleaning, area rug cleaning, ceramic tile and grout cleaning and furniture cleaning, the company also specializes in water damage remediation and restoration services.
