A Nod to Nature Outdoors
“We are creating grand spaces in backyards that are similar to an indoor open-concept family room and kitchen,” says Joe. “These outdoor spaces are an extension of your home and provide extra square footage of living space.”
Oftentimes, this means building a pavilion with a fireplace, a pergola framing an outdoor kitchen, or a porch with retractable screens to better define outdoor gathering spaces.
“We design our hardscapes around each family’s needs, taking into consideration how they use their backyards,” notes Joe.
Impact can incorporate a mix of water and fire features, as well as lots of natural elements in its landscape designs to provide a private backyard haven.
One of the biggest focal points you can add to your backyard is a swimming pool.
Impact installs fiberglass pools designed with upscale features such as tanning ledges and beach entry slopes. They come in all shapes and sizes, as well as colors ranging from Caribbean Sparkle for a bright blue to Graphite Gray that reflects a steel-blue water color.
“Fiberglass pools are very low maintenance,” says Joe, noting there is no liner, they don’t need re-plastering and you won’t snag swimwear.
“The current lead time to order pool shells has decreased from four months to just six or eight weeks this year, so there is still time to schedule a new pool for this summer,” Joe adds.
Impact’s expert landscaping crew can also plant trees and shrubs around the pool to soften up the edges.
With each landscape project, the company creates a detailed plan, which is meticulously hand drawn by Russ Luyster, the landscape designer. A seasoned horticulturist, he doesn’t rely on computer templates but rather designs by hand a custom plan for each home.

“We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms and finished basements,” says Joe. “We like to think outside the box and give homeowners suggestions by giving their home a fresh eye.”
“We put ourselves in their space and picture living there as if it was our own house, keeping in mind both functionality and design,” says Kristen. “We offer both a male and female perspective, as well as a family focus.”

A dynamic husband-wife duo, both Joe and Kristen meet every homeowner when giving project estimates.
“I can assist homeowners as much or as little as they would like,” says Kristen. “Some have already picked out materials for a design and others want more guidance and ask me to shop for items and work through the design together.”
