This new year, instead of making resolutions that always seem to fail, set intentions. It’s all about being positive and changing your mindset from “I won’t” to “I will.” Instead of saying you won’t eat ice cream because you need to lose 10 pounds, focus on trying new healthy recipes. Instead of saying you won’t go to crowded social gatherings, make it a priority to boost your immune system so you can feel safe venturing anywhere.

To help you reaffirm your intentions, Skin Care Solutions Elite MediSpa has a menu of services to enhance mind, body and spirit.

As a medical spa—with offices in Medina, Green and Wooster—SCS Elite MediSpa provides more advanced skincare you can’t get at a regular salon or spa, as well as innovative treatments such as intravenous vitamin therapy and pellet hormone replacement therapy. Here, three physicians work side by side with nurse practitioners and estheticians all with one common goal: to make you feel and look your best.

IV Therapy
Always offering leading-edge treatments, the MediSpa’s newest service is intravenous vitamin (IV) therapy.

IV therapy has myriad benefits, both boosting your immunity and enhancing your beauty.

From easing cold and flu symptoms to helping pre- and post-surgery to combating stress, the vitamins and minerals help reduce inflammation and improve energy.

As a medical spa—with offices in Medina, Green and Wooster—SCS Elite MediSpa provides more advanced skincare you can’t get at a regular salon or spa, as well as innovative treatments such as intravenous vitamin therapy and pellet hormone replacement therapy.

“Intravenous vitamins help build up your immunity, which is so important right now with all the viruses going around,” says Nadine Bigham, a certified nurse practitioner. “I have seen amazing results firsthand as my husband had the infusions to reduce neuropathy pain, and I had an infusion after I got sick with a cold, and it lessened my symptoms and helped me recover faster.”

“It is also ideal as a pre- and post-travel treatment to help build up your immunity so you don’t get sick on vacation, and keep you healthy when you get off the plane back home,” she adds.

Compared to oral intake of fluids and vitamins, intravenous fluids are rapidly absorbed—rehydrating and replenishing your body of depleted vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants. Vitamins included in the therapy are magnesium, calcium, B12, B-complex, high-dose vitamin C, zinc and glutathione.

“You can’t ingest enough vitamins to get the same benefits of IV therapy, as the vitamins and minerals go right into your bloodstream,” says Nadine. “And the treatment takes less than one hour.”

IV therapy also can give you healthier hair, stronger nails and improved skin, with a powerful combination of vitamins (B-complex, vitamin C, biotin and alpha lipoic acid) specifically targeted to reduce inflammation and promote healthy hair and skin.

“IV therapy using a combination of vitamins helps reverse oxidative damage and signs of aging,” notes Nadine.

Skin-sational
The doctors and aestheticians at the MediSpa work together to come up with treatments to give clients the best results when it comes to skin care and anti-aging.

“We have medical-grade facials that are more corrective and penetrate into the lower levels of your skin to actually change your cellular structure and get real results,” says Brittany Ballachino, a licensed medical aesthetician at the SCS Elite MediSpa in Medina.

From teenagers seeking out acne treatments to seniors who want to diminish their age spots and wrinkles, the estheticians customize each facial.

“I treat women and men of all ethnicities and work together with them to achieve their desired results,” says Brittany, who graduated from Medina High School and Brown Aveda Institute and is now working in her hometown.

Brittany Ballachino, a licensed medical aesthetician at the SCS Elite MediSpa in Medina, says among the most popular skin-care treatments at SCS are the Rezenerate NanoFacial, which triggers the skin to produce its own collagen; and the Perfect Derma Peel, which sloughs off dead, dry skin.

Among the most popular skin care treatments are the Rezenerate NanoFacial, which creates micro-injuries to trigger the skin to produce its own collagen; and the Perfect Derma Peel, which sloughs off dead, dry skin and can be used to treat acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.

Ideal for winter months, the IPL Laser treatments are used to treat and reverse sun damage, rosacea and hyperpigmentation. The laser is also used for hair removal.

“SCS is a place where all are welcome, a place where we build relationships with our clients, and a place where you get beautiful results,” says Brittany.
