If a complete kitchen remodel isn’t in the budget, cabinet revitalization from Chagrin Home Improvements could be the answer

Do you stare at your kitchen every day and dream about a renovation? What bothers you the most about your current kitchen? Many people would answer, “the cabinets.” If you’re one of those people but a complete gut job of the most used space in your home is not in the budget or the timeline right now, a cabinet revitalization from Chagrin Home Improvements could be the answer for you.
Chagrin Home Improvements is one of those small, local businesses that takes the time and makes the investment necessary to offer the highest-quality service and results. Owner Joe Jacobs started Chagrin Home Improvements more than 10 years ago with the objective of offering the community he grew up in the very best in the two home maintenance services that make the most impact.
“In order to be the very best at what we do, we focus on deck maintenance and staining in the outdoor months and cabinet painting in the indoor months,” Joe says. “Our commitment to quality in these two areas allows us to not spread ourselves too thin. We have made a commitment by investing heavily in training and equipment. That means we can offer the latest techniques and most efficient processes to achieve the best results for these most-used areas of your home.”
Chagrin Home Improvements’ commitment to the highest quality cabinet transformation includes a dedicated cabinet painting facility adjacent to its offices in Chagrin Falls. This is where the magic happens.
“We have developed our process with the latest in spray-painting equipment designed specifically for what we do,” Joe says. “Our staff has been trained in the use of this equipment and our facility was designed and built to allow us to streamline this process and do it the right way. Anyone can paint cabinets, but I promise you the result won’t be anything like ours.”
A cabinet transformation process by Chagrin Home Improvements begins with a visit to your home for an assessment of the cabinets and their condition, then Joe gets back to you with a written quote. Then comes the removal of the cabinet doors, drawers and hardware, which is all cataloged to ensure it’s put back in the right place. Cabinet doors and drawers are then taken to the painting facility.
“It’s here that we begin the critical prep process of filling any cracks or holes before sanding every inch to a smooth finish, cleaning them so there’s not a speck of dust or residue, then applying a premium primer and spraying two coats of paint for a flawless finish,” explains Joe. “While the doors are being painted off-site, a crew member is painting the cabinet boxes in your home using the same process for an identical finish.”
Once the cabinets are rehung, the hardware is reattached, or you may choose to update the hardware and complete the new, refreshed look of your space.
“You’ll have the use of your kitchen every day,” Joe says. “There’s minimal dust and we keep things neat. I don’t think you can say that about any renovation project.”
Aside from the fact that painting your cabinets will save money, time and the hassle of a renovation, it’s often just the smart thing to do. New cabinets are usually the most expensive part of a kitchen renovation, and you may not need them.
“Often the cabinets are in good condition, but the color or outdated look bothers you,” Joe says. “It’s hard to justify the cost of new ones that may be a much lower quality product than what you already have. Let us transform yours while saving you thousands of dollars and the time and disruption involved with a renovation. It just makes sense.”
Chagrin Home Improvements has made a commitment to this community. Growing up here, Joe knows the pride people take in their homes and loves nothing more than helping his customers maintain and improve them.
“My crews are made up of all family and friends,” Joe says. “These are the people I trust to enter your home and do the best job possible for you. They are local guys, all full-time employees and never seasonal workers. I chose to run this business in a very specific way, because it means something to me to offer personal service with the attention to detail needed for the best result.”
