SCS Elite MediSpa uses Biote pellets that contain bioidentical hormones, which are the same molecular structure of hormones the body produces naturally. These pellets are inserted subcutaneously in the upper buttocks and are replaced every three-and-a-half months for women and five to six months for men.

The process is simple. Patients fill out a health assessment and get blood work. Then the nurse practitioners review the lab results, customize the optimal level of estrogen and testosterone doses, and implant the pellet under the skin. The pellet slowly releases the hormones into the bloodstream.

Slow and steady. That’s the advantage of hormone pellets and their ability to maintain steady levels in the body. Unlike oral medications, which can cause hormone levels to fluctuate throughout the day, pellets deliver hormones consistently.
