Celebrating its second anniversary this month, Holistic Halo Salt Spa has evolved to include facials, massage, and a host of wellness services while staying true to its mission to bring the healing and purifying properties of Himalayan salt to the masses.

“I’ve been a lifelong spa lover and have created my own interpretations on all the pampering touches I have experienced at various five-star spas around the world,” says owner Lisa Bargmann.

“For instance, in the Tranquility Treatment Room, which is encased in salt blocks and features glowing salt lamps, the oversized Zen space is made even more peaceful by a heated custom-made massage bed that mimics the feeling of laying on a warm sandy beach.”

“Our most popular massage is the Signature Halo Massage, featuring a full 60 minutes of hands-on time utilizing hot salt stones,” she continues. “The heat is therapeutic while the skin receives a mild exfoliation and minerals are absorbed into the skin.”

Each of the four treatment rooms suits a variety of experiences. The Salt Box offers Halotherapy in a 30-minute private session. It is perfect for individuals or couples wanting the privacy of their own session. It can also be converted into a family-friendly session complete with sand toys. The beach mural and 2,000 pounds of crushed Himalayan salt on the floor really make you feel like you are at the beach.

Halotherapy 101: Why You’ll Feel Better
There is science behind the ultra-soothing health benefits of breathing in salty air, or, as Lisa likes to call it, “ocean air without the humidity.” Medical grade salt is pulverized and wafted into a room.

“As the salty particles are inhaled, they penetrate into the lungs and clear the respiratory passages, lessening effects of congested sinuses, allergies and asthma,” she says. “And since salt is naturally anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, salt therapy also improves skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.”

For another layer of detox, Holistic Halo also features an infrared sauna, which mimics all the positive effects of the sun to boost mood, promote pain relief, speed the metabolism and lend a healthy glow to the skin.

“We’ve found that once people come here to see what we are about, they invariably become regulars, so we launched a membership program, with VIP rewards and special pricing,” she says.

The Halo Glow Deluxe Facial includes deep cleansing, toning, scrub, mask, custom treatment serum, moisturizer and upper body massage.

Special Events, Classes, Hypnosis
With a fantastic lineup of classes and workshops, Lisa is always looking for ways to enhance the overall wellness of those who come here. After all, the definition of holistic is treating the whole person.

Each Wednesday, Salty Halo Yoga is offered. Throughout the month you will also find guided meditation, reiki and hypnosis. And there are ongoing spa parties, henna body art happy hours, and educational workshops with a holistic physician.

She sees adding hypnosis sessions—either private or group—in her salt room as a natural progression of wellness initiatives, and she reports that she’s personally had remarkable help with her chronic insomnia after undergoing a few sessions.

“Our certified hypnotherapist can work on the issues you need help with, such as anxiety or weight loss,” she adds.

The Family Salt Box is a place where kids get to play with toys in pulverized salt against a seashore mural backdrop while parents relax in lounge chairs.

Chic Boutique Shopping
“We pride ourselves on curating a signature selection of spa products for home, including salt lamps and aromatherapy diffusers; luscious bath products, oils and soaps; organic, all-natural skin care; and several lines of jewelry,” says Lisa.

“We’ve also earned a reputation as the ideal place for thoughtful hostess gifts or personal gifts, such as our top-selling essential oil diffuser lava stone bracelets. Perfect for mixing and matching, the stones absorb your favorite aromatherapy oil so you can wear your scent in style.”

Healing crystals are a new favorite and gift certificates always make the perfect gift.
