When I tell people my medical practice focuses on the treatment of hemorrhoids, they typically react with surprise, amazement and a touch of disbelief.

“Why would a doctor want to do that?” they ask me.

It’s simple. I am able to offer people direct access to easy, non-surgical, and affordable hemorrhoid treatment options that actually work. In just a few short sessions I can eliminate the pain, burning, itch and bleeding of a problem that can cause years of suffering and embarrassment. The appreciation that my patients show is priceless.

You see, there just aren’t many doctors out there who specialize in treating hemorrhoids the way I do—non-surgically and with little or no pain.

In fact, it seems that most doctors don’t really want to deal with hemorrhoids at all, despite the chronic misery they cause. As a result, many doctors are simply not aware of the newer non-surgical treatments that are now available.

I decided to delve deeper into the treatment of hemorrhoids so that I could help as many people as possible reclaim their lives and go back to healthy, active living.

Since 2005, I’ve performed over 30,000 procedures right in the comfort of my office. Treatment for hemorrhoids is quick, easy and discreet, and there’s no downtime. Most people tell me they wish they would have come in to see me sooner.

The Symptoms
You might be experiencing the symptoms of hemorrhoids but not realize you have them. Symptoms of hemorrhoids include an inability to get clean after wiping, leakage, excessive itch, bleeding and the protrusion of tissue from the anus. You don’t need to have all symptoms to have hemorrhoids, and these symptoms don’t always point to hemorrhoids. In fact, internal hemorrhoids cause more problems than external ones, that’s why it’s best to get checked to determine the real cause of symptoms.

Fear and Your Rear
I get it, anything that pertains to your butt can be a source of amusement or embarrassment. The second is one of the top reasons my patients cite for delaying hemorrhoid treatment. Another is fear. Because they don’t know what to expect, and they’ve heard all of the horror stories, they figure living with the pain is far better than the alternative.

So, let’s start by dispelling some of the myths about the exam and treatment.

During the free consultation, I ask specific questions about your condition and answer any questions you might have. If you decide to go ahead with an examination, you’re given a pair of paper shorts with a flap in the back. You put them on and are fully covered, then lay on your side and put your knees up like in the fetal position. The initial exam takes just a few minutes. For treatment, pretty much the same thing happens except the procedure takes just a few seconds more. That’s it. Both the exam and treatment are done with your total comfort in mind.

Non-Surgical Treatment
I offer two, non-surgical methods to treat hemorrhoids. One reduces the blood flow that feeds the hemorrhoids, improving inflammation and causing them to shrink. The other is better suited to removing larger hemorrhoids. Both take just a few seconds to do. Since they are performed in an area with no nerve endings, they can be administered right in the comfort of my office without anesthesia.

There is virtually no pain, no prep needed, there are no major restrictions, and you don’t have to take time off of work. Our procedures are also covered by insurance.
