From gutter cleaning and guards to a revolutionary water-fed pole window cleaning technique, The Gutter Boys helps keep your home beautiful and safe
By Mimi Vanderhaven
Gutter cleaning is dirty and dangerous work. Climbing a ladder to stick your right hand into a thick, malodorous microbial soup of decaying matter, while holding a bucket in your left hand, means there is no hand holding the ladder.
Don’t do that.
While you may clean your gutters two or three times a year, the pros at The Gutter Boys do it many times a day.
“It really is best to leave it to the professionals,” says company founder Anthony Alberino. “Our entire team is experienced and trained in proper cleaning techniques as well as ladder safety. We also know the ins and outs of gutter systems.”
For homeowners, one of the biggest problems with gutter cleaning is simply forgetting to schedule it. Now you don’t even have to worry about that.
“We offer a gutter cleaning subscription service, so you never have to worry about it again,” Anthony says. “We show up and take care of it on a regular basis.”
Covering Your Gutters
Of course, many homeowners prefer to cover their gutters rather than relying on regular cleaning, and The Gutter Boys has you covered there, too. As a local company, not a national franchise with a single product, they can recommend and install the system that’s right for you, including their best-in-class micro-mesh gutter guard. It features:
• A high-flow, stainless steel micro-mesh featuring a raised S-curve that allows for the self-shedding of debris.
• A vertical louvered frame that improves drainage, discouraging the growth of algae.
• A lightweight, aluminum frame that won’t warp or add extra weight to the system.
• The cover is attached to the fascia, not the shingles, so it can’t void your roof warranty.
• A fully transferrable, lifetime warranty.
Last year this 20-year-old company installed over 100 miles of gutter guards, and they have more than 700 Google reviews with an average star rating of 4.7.
Exterior Window Cleaning
And now The Gutter Boys has introduced a revolutionary way to clean exterior windows—with no ladder and no squeegee.
“It’s called water-fed pole window cleaning,” Anthony explains. “We use a three-stage water purification system to eliminate all particles in the water that could leave spots or residue.”
The three stages in the purification process are 1) carbon filtration, which traps impurities such as chlorine, sediment and organic matter; 2) reverse osmosis, which uses high pressure to force the water through a semi-permeable membrane to remove smaller particles like minerals, bacteria, and viruses; and 3) deionization, which removes smaller minerals and ions. One tank exchanges positively charged ions—such as calcium, magnesium, and sodium—for hydrogen ions, while a second tank exchanges negatively charged ions—such as chloride, sulfate, and nitrate—for hydroxide ions. The hydrogen and hydroxide ions combine to form pure water, leaving no spots on your windows.
In anticipation of another high-volume year, The Gutter Boys recently added seven new trucks to its fleet. “We don’t want our customers to have to wait an extended period for service,” Anthony says. “The only way to do that is grow our capabilities with professional staff members and equipment.”
