It all started with a little boy who inspired and encouraged every person who crossed his path in his brief time on earth.

In November 2012, Jacob Goss was diagnosed with brain cancer. After four years of treatments at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, Jacob lost his battle to cancer and gained his angel wings on August 19, 2016.

In the spring of 2023, Tim Garton—a RE/MAX Results co-owner and friend of Jacob’s mother Heather—created the Results for Success Scholarship to help keep Jacob’s memory alive. The scholarship program benefits high school graduates in Northeast Ohio who will attend college or trade school.

Jacob would have graduated from high school in 2024, making the inaugural year of this scholarship a fitting tribute to Jacob’s memory.

On June 6, four deserving graduating seniors—Mason Herron, Faith Nelson, Gianna DiFranco and Bobby Ivancic—each were awarded $1,000 scholarships. The Results for Success Scholarship Program will help them grow and excel in life, further their educations and pursue their dreams.

“This scholarship is a constant reminder to our community of how amazing our dear friend Jacob was,” Tim says. “We look forward to seeing this program grow and prosper in the years to come.”

RE/MAX Results has a long history of being a leader in fundraising for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and is committed to making this program a success as their sponsor partner.

The Results for Success scholarship, celebrating its inaugural year, is a program of RE/MAX Results and its real estate agents. For more information, call 440-354-3334.
