Energy tax credit up to $600
By Tony Hoty, President; Window Depot and Bath Depot
As part of our customer-centric approach—with an emphasis on selection, savings and service—making sure people get the most bang for their buck is a priority.
We’re excited to let people know about the 30 percent energy tax credit they can earn on new energy-efficient windows, which began in January 2023. As part of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, it extends and increases the benefits of the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit.
This program is meant to incentivize homeowners to make upgrades to their homes that reduce household energy expenditure. The annual limit you can claim for new windows is $600.
You simply claim your credit on your 2023 taxes that you file in 2024.
We think of this as a win-win, having the government help underwrite an upgrade for the homeowner.
High-performance triple-pane windows and doors are incredibly energy efficient, providing lower energy costs to heat and cool homes. Their construction allows for a gap between the panes of glass, which creates a natural insulation barrier.
Another benefit of triple pane windows is their noise-reducing effect. Install these models and you won’t hear a thing when it comes to outdoor lawn mowers, chain saws, construction equipment and barking dogs.
Taking the tax credit is a no-brainer and is a great way to upgrade your home with best-in-class windows that will also boost its value.
Plus, you don’t have to wait to upgrade. We offer several financing options.
Pop into our showroom to find out more. By shopping from displays of our energy-efficient windows and doors, we can show you all the possibilities.
