By Kelli Comer
Dr. Mary Kovach, one of the Sicilian cousins who wrote the #1 international best-selling cookbook Don’t Cut the Basil: Five Generations of Authentic Italian Recipes, recently released her third business book Be Your Best You: The Ultimate Research-Based Guide to Outstanding Leadership.
Within a few days, it earned nine #1 placements on Amazon in Canada, including #1 Best Seller in Behavioral Psychology eBooks, Industrial Management (Kindle), and Operations Research (Kindle). It also earned #1 in Amazon Hot New Releases in Behavioral Psychology eBooks, Business Management & Leadership, Behavioral Science eBooks, Business & Investing, Professional Science Books and Professional & Technical categories.
“This book is about naturally matching your personality to one (or more) of the leadership styles that best suits you,” Dr. Kovach says.
Applying her LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt and Agile certifications, she pairs each of the nine leadership styles and theories with an efficient and effective tool to aid in leadership development. Each style also has three reflection questions to consider.
In addition to each leadership style, Dr. Kovach’s research consists of four contexts—business, education, sport and the military—containing multiple meta and global studies that illustrate the direct impact of applying specific leadership styles to prove their effectiveness.
“This book is for anyone who wants to develop or enhance his or her leadership skills with an introspective look and applicable tools,” says Dr. Kovach.
Dr. Mary Kovach is an associate professor with more than 15 years of collegiate teaching experience and 15 years of corporate career growth.
