Disney Day for deals and more

With so much going on in the worlds of Disney and Sandals, it’s a thrilling time to work in the travel industry.

I just returned from Disney World, where I spent a wonderful long weekend with my family, hitting Epcot and Magic Kingdom. One aspect we loved was the Skyliner, a gondola that whisks you from place to place. It was super convenient, plus we were able to enjoy the sweeping views, including fireworks.

People sometimes get sticker shock with week-long Disney trips, so I often recommend shorter getaways. We stayed at one of the newest—and poshest—resorts, the Riviera. Modeled with European-style enchantment in mind, it did not disappoint. Though it costs a little more, our spacious one-bedroom suite had room for two additional beds in the sitting area. It was plenty of room for our family of five.

In a few weeks, I’m jetting off to California’s Disneyland to act as my clients’ “boots on the ground” and help plan vacations there, too.
