Over the past decade, the automotive industry has made great strides in energy and water conservation, the reduction of greenhouse emissions and recycling.

Here at Rad Air of Wickliffe, we are taking like measures to proactively preserve and protect the environment.

For instance, we throw an annual Document Shred Day in partnership with the city. This helps anyone bringing in their paper to protect their identity and keeps all of that paper from going into a landfill.

In our everyday operations, we recycle all cardboard and office paper, and buy all of our chemicals in bulk to save on plastic dispensers. We also pay a third-party vendor to pick up our unused chemicals and dispose of them properly.

The tires we recycle every day end up as playground mulch, high school tracks and park benches. On the energy-saving front, we’ve migrated to almost all LED lighting and are changing our heating system to radiant heat, which reduces gas and electricity output.

Thanks to our ongoing efforts, I’m honored that we were chosen by the City of Wickliffe as a recipient of the Keep Wickliffe Beautiful Environmental Commitment award. It means the world to us to be recognized for making innovative choices.

Bill Snow grew up working on race cars and ran a shop while in college. After being in the corporate world for years, he decided to get back to the car industry and bought the local Rad Air Complete Car Care and Tire Center. It’s located at 29257 Anderson Road, in Wickliffe. Call 440-943-9666 or visit RadAir.com for more information.
