Chad Howman founded Bath R Us in March of 2020 to fill a much-needed niche—homeowners who want the look of luxurious bathrooms at an affordable price.
“We chose to specialize in bathroom renovation, researching the industry to find the best-quality, most durable products for showers, baths, toilets, vanities, sinks and flooring,” says Chad.
Over the past year, the formula has proven to be a smashing success. Not only has Bath R Us transformed countless bathrooms here in Cleveland, expanded into a bigger showroom and warehouse space, but they’ve also grown into the Columbus area.
“People are looking to add a more modern and luxurious spa-like feeling to their bathroom,” he says. “We can make that happen.”
From Glamour Bath to Rustic Farmhouse
Chad works exclusively with a manufacturer that makes ultra-durable high-tech polymer showers and tubs that look like granite, marble, quartz and subway tiles, to suit any taste, classic to contemporary, glamour to rustic. The panels are 100% waterproof, man-made and easy to clean, as there are very few seams, which are fused by caulk, not grout. They can even install a slab on the shower ceiling and sink lights into it for a strikingly modern effect.
“Sometimes people struggle with putting all the colors and finishes together,” he says. “We help them through the selection
process to create their dream bathroom.”
The construction portion of the job is as painless as the consultation. Jobs are always done by factory certified techs, most times in 3-4 days.
“People are bowled over when they find out our showers come with a lifetime warranty and the workmanship with a 10-year warranty, which is well above and beyond the industry standard,” he adds.
And for seniors who are looking to age in place as long as they can, Chad reports they are designing tubs you can walk into and zero-entry showers equipped with grab bars.
Rizz Raves
Bath R Us is accustomed to garnering a slew of five-star reviews. But when longtime Cleveland sports personality Tony Rizzo called on them to revamp his outdated bathroom, they were thrilled.
His house was built in 1989 and the upstairs bathrooms were original.
“Like anything that’s 30 years old, it was time for it to go,” says Tony. “The sinks were old and dated and the cabinets were to the point where the doors were falling off. I don’t want to say we waited until the last minute, but we kinda did.”
It was time for an overhaul. He and his wife, Lisa, sat down with Chad in their home to discuss their needs and make their selections, opting for steel gray cabinets that are solid wood and made in America, marble-look countertops with inlaid sinks, a full stand-up shower and luxury vinyl tile flooring that mimics the look of hardwood.
