ABC Equipment Rental & Sales helps get the job done

The delays that plagued the construction equipment industry during the height of Covid are still making their mark this year, explains Alan Zatik, who owns ABC Equipment Rental & Sales in Brunswick and Avon, along with co-owner Jamie Terpay. “If you want your equipment by the end of summer, it’s a good idea to order it now.”

ABC has strong, long-term relationships with manufactures and suppliers, so the company enjoys better access to inventory than many dealers, but delays are still inevitable. The good news is Alan and Jamie have plenty of rental inventory to help tide you over until your new equipment arrives.

Popular leading-edge equipment includes the revolutionary swivel-tracked power loader. Track loaders—or track concrete buggies—run on tracks instead of wheels so they go through the mud better, but Toro’s Swivel Mud Buggy features a rotating bucket. “It’s ingenious,” Alan says. “Rather than shoveling gravel or constantly moving forward and backing up, you simply ride along the foundation or footer dumping gravel sideways as you go. You make fewer runs, so it’s far more efficient.”

Everything Contractors and Homeowners Need
ABC Equipment Rental & Sales sells and rents almost anything a professional contractor or industrious homeowner needs, including excavators, dozers, backhoes, forklifts, skid steers and manlifts—scissor lifts and boom lifts—ideal for painting, tree trimming, replacing gutters, and other jobs that must be performed up high.

“With the heavy winds this spring, we’re renting a lot of manlifts for tree trimming and removal,” Alan says, “But keep in mind that the ground is soft right now because of all the rain, so make sure your lift is on well-drained ground. If it sinks in the mud, you’ll waste valuable time having it removed.”

ABC also has towable lifts, which you save you money on delivery.

The company also sells and/or rents top-quality brands, like Kubota, Genie, JLG, Skyjack, Wacker, Solar-Tech, Towmaster, Stihl, Honda, Mustang, Gehl, and more.

Easy Financing /Big Tax Savings
Because ABC is locally owned and completely independent, the staff is flexible, able to change things for the benefit of the client and get them their equipment faster. In many cases, a portion of your rental can apply to an eventual purchase, with pre-agreed-upon terms.

In addition, ABC works with local banks to help you get financed, and most manufactures offer their own financing, including Kubota. Right now, on brand-new equipment, 1.99 percent interest for 60{1} months.

Taking delivery of your new equipment before the end of the year is important because you may be able to take advantage of Section 179 of the United States Internal Revenue Code, which allows you to write off equipment purchases up to $1.16 million this year—in 2023—instead of depreciating the expense over time. This means a huge tax saving this year.{2} The equipment your business needs may or may not qualify, so please consult your tax adviser before relying on any purchase to qualify.
