“The reason the law firm started was to be a law firm that anyone could use. It is important at Kurt Law Office that everyone feels welcomed to ask for the legal service they need and no one feels intimidated. It’s an honor to be able to help the number of people that we do.” — Founder and Managing Partner Pamela D. Kurt, Esq.

Pamela D. Kurt founded the Kurt Law Office in 2009 to provide the same level of expert legal representation people would expect from an elite downtown law firm, but in a friendly, non-intimidating neighborhood setting.

It’s natural for her to treat clients like neighbors, because she grew up here and is still active in the community. Born in Texas, her family moved to Jefferson and then Saybrook, Ohio, where she credits her parents for always supporting her endeavors and academics. Today Pamela lives in Willoughby.

An umbrella of expertise
With nearly a century of combined experience, her staff of fellow lawyers, law clerks, paralegals, legal secretaries and office staff specializes in aggressively representing their clients in the areas of:

• Family Law – divorce, separation, child custody, child support, property division, juvenile matters, adoption, paternity, fathers’ rights, grandparents’ rights, legal name changes
• Criminal Law – criminal defense, felonies, misdemeanors, traffic tickets, DUIs/DWIs
• Estate Planning – wills and trusts, powers of attorneys, probate, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 personal bankruptcy
• Small Business – contracts, collections, dispute resolution
• Real Estate – residential and commercial real estate transactions

Broad knowledge stemming from personal experience
For Pamela D. Kurt, family law is personal, and her empathy comes from having gone through a divorce herself. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to put herself through college (at Lakeland Community College and Cleveland State, magna cum laude) and law school from Cleveland-Marshall, Cleveland State College of Law earning her juris doctor in 2003.

Fiercely protecting their clients
Serving clients in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, the firm has earned a reputation as professional, personable, knowledgeable attorneys who act as true advocates, fiercely protecting their clientele. Along with her team, Pamela respects the values of clients, and acts as a straight shooter in each client’s best interest, especially when children are involved.

They are dedicated to helping clients see the future they want, then crafting a legal strategy that can help them build that future.

Words that are repeated in the many five-star reviews Kurt Law receives range from “compassionate” to “caring”, “dedicated” and “hard-working.”

Kurt Law attorneys have handled countless cases in municipal court, juvenile court and common pleas court. The firm’s main offices have expanded several times, and are now headquartered on Euclid Avenue in Wickliffe. Other neighborhood offices are located in Jefferson, Chardon and downtown Cleveland.
