As a trained lash application educator, Katie trains her own employees, offers training out of her Suburban Lash studio to anyone wanting to become certified in the practice, and sells supplies to lash extension artists. Suburban Lash is committed to using as many sustainable products as possible and had teamed up with a salon recycling program to recycle things from used color foils to the hair they sweep up after a haircut. The salon uses Davines, a hair color and product direct from Italy.
“It’s important to me that the process is done correctly with the highest quality products,” says Katie. “I have been extensively trained in the process and I love to pass along my expertise. Seeing the thrilled looks on clients’ faces when they see themselves is a satisfying feeling.”
Along with saving time and adding volume to existing lashes, the benefits of lash extensions also include a more balanced facial appearance.
“No one’s face is perfectly symmetrical,” says Katie. “We study your facial structure and take a great deal of time mapping out your eyelash placement in order to achieve a visually balanced appearance. It’s amazing what you can do with a few new lashes.”
Armed with a business degree Katie is also a journalist, speaker, educator, international lash judge, blogger, and also owns a subscription box for professional lash artists with over 500 subscribers. She has been featured on multiple industry podcasts and has big plans to make the lash and beauty industry even better than it already is." The eyelash extension process takes from 90 minutes to two hours for a full set of lashes and they last for approximately three to five weeks before a touch up is required. Katie and her staff will work with you to help you choose the perfect lash style to achieve your goals.
