The term “one-stop shop” originated back in the 1920s, when Americans were looking for a place where they could conveniently find all the goods and services they needed without driving all over town to get them.

For Guhde Flooring America, the term means so much more.

“Over the years, we’ve evolved to offer design services, product selection and installation,” says Monica Guhde Rosa. “People put their trust in us and we wanted to extend that.”

The family unveiled its Kitchen and Bath Department within its showroom to feature full kitchen and bathroom ideas.

“Just as we expanded over the past 60 years in business to offer the whole package in terms of products, branching out from flooring to countertops, cabinetry, lighting, faucets and sinks, backsplashes and mirrors, as well as high-end paints, we decided to meet every service need, too,” says Monica. “We orchestrate all aspects of any job as a general contractor would, and people enjoy that they only have one person to deal with.”

Where it All Begins
With literally tens of thousands of selections to choose from, it helps to consult with a professional. Cait Rudolph brings her degree in interior architecture to the table when working with clients to sift through those choices. She’s adept at showing people how to maximize their space while adding style and flair, making it a unique reflection of their taste.

In addition to Cait and the trusty staff, Monica mentions they have forged relationships with most of the top interior designers in the area, including Kate Weaver of Faux What?, whose exquisite murals adorn several walls in the Kitchen and Bath Department, as well as Tracy Baker of Designer Details in Mentor.

Mind-Boggling Selection of Products
With new materials coming to market all the time, Monica and her family keep ahead of trends by attending national shows.

If there’s a trend in flooring, style in cabinetry, or direction in countertops or lighting, you can expect to find it in the Guhde showroom.

“So many of the products we are working with are transitional, going from farmhouse rustic to a modern edge, and it can be tricky to put it all together and have the finished effect work,” she says.

The Guhde sales staff uses 2020 software to show clients how their selections will appear together in a three-dimensional rendering.

Craftsmanship you Can Trust
Monica says over the years they’ve assembled a talented group of installers, electricians, plumbers and painters.

“Our guys are highly trained, reputable and creative,” she says. “With decades of experience under their collective belts, there isn’t anything on the job site they haven’t already dealt with.”

This specialty as a one-stop shop came in handy this summer, as the Guhdes reprised their role as Platinum Sponsors of the Lake County YMCA Dream Home, donating all of the flooring and tile, as well as the labor to install, in the fabulous home.

Why not visit the showroom to see how they can make your dream home come true, too?
