From opening his first Floorz location in Akron over eight years ago to relocating to the Montrose shopping center four years ago, Brian Erickson hasn’t been content to roll like the other guys.

He’s regularly stacked his premium flooring biz up against the competition and come out a winner. And he backs every sale with solid customer service and the integrity of someone who’s been in the business for more than 20 years. Now he’s duplicating his wildly successful formula in Strongsville, where a second Floorz showroom has just launched.

“Nobody else in the Strongsville area offers what we do,” he insists. “Not only do we carry every major manufacturer in our store, and offer every available type of flooring, we’ll also meet or beat any competitor’s price, including online prices.”

No detail within the stunningly gorgeous Strongsville Floorz design center has been left unattended to. From the chic black ceiling with a hanging mod halo to the thousands of flooring choices and cohesive application of a variety of options beneath your feet, the eye candy is everywhere.

Brian and his team have artfully arranged every aspect of the showroom to make it easy to shop. The tile section, which features manufacturers you won’t find in a box store and may have seen on Houzz or Pinterest, also includes a planning area where you can sit with a designer, choose your tile and pick your grout.

The store is easy to navigate, with like flooring options grouped together. With the explosive popularity of luxury vinyl tile and plank showing no sign of waning, a generous selection has been included. Cleo Home is one of the names to look for. It comes in an array of colors and styles, including wood look and tile. Shaw and Mannington, names most people recognize, also weigh in with their on-trend options.

The area rug zone, located at the back of the design center, features a delicious assortment of rugs in every size and color. “We have in stock, ready to go, over $50,000 worth of area rug inventory,” Brian states. “You can take the rug of your choice home today, or have it drop shipped. We carry countless different sizes and can custom make a rug in many different shapes or styles out of any of our carpet selections.”

As I move to the carpet zone, I’m struck by how soft and squishy-feeling the carpeting on the Floorz showroom floor feels. Brian tells me it’s due to the latest innovation in carpet padding—a premium Scotch Guard pad that features Memory Foam.

He also says that Shaw just launched an impressive array of new Anso Nylon colors, in solids and tonals. Anderson Tuftex, also by Shaw, boasts gorgeous patterns in today’s most attractive styles. These are just a few of the high-quality options of the many recognizable flooring brands that Floorz carries.

And while luxury abounds at Floorz, Brian says he also offers budget-friendly options available for cash and carry.

“We have in stock carpeting starting at $1.49 per square foot installed. All of our carpet pricing includes padding and a lifetime warrantied installation.”

Brian says the installation is as much a part of the Floorz service model as is backing every purchase with superior customer service.

“Our installers are seasoned professionals who work exclusively for us,” Brian shares.

That installation doesn’t start and end with flooring. Brian and his crew are quickly making a name for themselves in the bathroom remodeling area.

“We take care of the complete design in house and include all of the components you need to enjoy the bathroom of your dreams,” he shares. “But we don’t just bring the design element to the table. We bring a high level of experience in construction and remodeling, and that makes a huge difference.”

“People depend on us as much for our expertise in the flooring industry as they do for our service,” Brian shares.

“We’re already a trusted name in Northeast Ohio and we’re excited to bring a new design center and our expertise to Strongsville. We go above and beyond to make sure our customers not only receive a fair price but also a terrific experience.”
