What are your options if you’re without health insurance?

Now that the midpoint of the year has arrived, some people who have participated in the Affordable Care Act may have decided their premiums were too expensive and dropped the coverage because they didn’t submit the proper forms for tax credit. Others may have become unemployed and are without health care coverage to see them through the transition.

Whatever your reason for not having health care coverage at this time, it might surprise you to learn there are affordable options.

One is called Christian Share Ministries, and it’s a perfect solution that falls outside of the ACA. Participants are exempt from tax penalties and coverage includes PPO networks. If you are a person of faith, Christian Share Ministries can provide coverage that helps to reduce monthly premiums and I encourage you to schedule a time to sit down with me to find out if it’s right for you and your family.

If you’re enrolled in the ACA but aren’t happy with your coverage, you might be surprised to learn you can leave the program with 14 days notice. In doing so, however, you will be subject to a penalty unless you choose another ACA-compliant option such as Christian Share Ministries.
