With “waterproof flooring” on the lips of virtually everyone in the flooring biz, product choice and selection is still a bit confusing for the consumer.

“There are so many options within the waterproof flooring category,” explains Brian Erickson, owner of Floorz in Montrose and Strongsville. “Most people recognize luxury vinyl tile to be waterproof, but that isn’t the only option available.”

Brian says waterproof flooring includes other options that can be glued down and grouted to look like tile, with designs that mimic a variety of looks and styles. The other side of the spectrum includes floating waterproof flooring, which closely resembles hardwood and tile.

And the quality options span a huge range, too.

“You can find the entry-level stuff at pretty much every box store in the area,” Brian states. “We offer that as well, but we also carry a huge variety of better and best options, because some people are more interested in quality and durability.”

At Floorz, all of the waterproof flooring options have been grouped together in one zone, with several examples installed underfoot so you can test drive the performance and function before you buy.

Cleo Home is one of the names to look for. It comes in an array of colors and styles, including wood look and tile. Shaw and Mannington, names most people recognize, also weigh in with their on-trend options.

With prices to accommodate every budget and a commitment to besting any competitor’s price, Floorz represents a sophisticated, high-end buying experience—one that comes complete with designer input on color and style, and includes premium installation backed by a lifetime warranty.

But here’s what you won’t find at floors: Gimmicks.

“Ours is an all-in pricing structure, which means you’ll know how much you’re paying up-front for every aspect of your purchase,” explains Brian. “We don’t hide installation charges in the price, or mark our flooring up so we can put it on sale.”

Brian says the installation is as much a part of the Floorz service model as backing every purchase with superior customer service.

“Our installers are seasoned professionals who work exclusively for us,” Brian shares. “In fact, we are so proud of our installation processes and installers that we offer exceptional warranties on all of our installations.”
