Sometimes life comes at you full circle.

Just ask Sean Sullivan.

One of his first training positions out of school was at Fitness Together in Medina in 2010. He rose up the ranks within the company over the following years, to serve as manager, regional manager, then successful owner of FT studios in Brecksville, Bay Village, Concord and Highland Heights.

Just announced, this month he is hosting the Grand Reopening of the Medina and Fairlawn Fitness Together studios under his ownership.

Part of the full circle for Sean lies in helping those who are starting their careers grow into the same path he took.

“The ability for people to grow within our company has always been important to me. Fostering growth by mentoring my staff members has been a great experience, too” says Sean.

Sean Sullivan, owner of the wildly successful Fitness Together studios in Brecksville, Bay Village, Concord and Highland Heights, has turned his attention to Fairlawn and Medina. Find out what he’s bringing to these studios.

What Makes One-on-One Training So Successful?
There are many reasons that once clients start seeing results after working out at Fitness Together they tend to stay for years, and send their friends and families who have noticed the improvement.

Sean attributes the longevity phenomenon to the results that a science-based, custom-designed training program brings, and the accountability people get by putting their workouts on the calendar and knowing their personal trainer will be there waiting for them.

“We offer an elite level of training, and we have a reputation for that, but I hope we also live up to our reputation for offering a personable, VIP level of customer service,” he says.

Each of the private training suites is outfitted with the latest equipment, from cardio machines to TRX suspension bands, medicine and stability balls and weights geared to both individual and small group “pack” sessions.

When it comes to precautions against Covid, he reports they’ve gone above and beyond CDC guidelines for safety.

“Our walled-off private suites already protect clients and trainers from exposure to each other,” he explains. “We schedule clients 15 minutes apart from one another, so they don’t pass each other coming or going, and do a thorough disinfection of equipment between each client. All of our trainers wear masks throughout workouts as well.

The Key Role Smart Nutrition Plays
Sean reports that their clients consistently show increased success in meeting their goals when combining a nutritional component with training.

Overseen by a registered dietician, the studios offer a six-week counseling program—Nutrition Together—to encourage people to eat smarter and get rid of their unhealthy eating behaviors. It includes daily food journaling to pinpoint when, how, and why people eat the way they do in an effort to change their relationship with food for the better.

“I’ve always considered our studios to be in the transformation business, partnering with people to transform themselves to look and feel their absolute best by giving them the knowledge and the tools they need, and then partnering with them along the journey,” says Sean. “With the holidays right around the corner, the best time to start looking and feeling your best is right now.”

Fitness Together is located within the Medina Signature Square Shopping Center at 3725 Medina Road, Suite #106, in Medina. The Fairlawn studio is located at 2890 Sand Run Parkway, Suite B. The phone number for both locations is 330-952-0504. Visit for more information.
