Interested in making lasting connections and boosting your brand? Look no further than the “Expand Your Network” Business Expo 2022 set for Thursday, October 13, at the Don Umerley Civic Center in Rocky River.

“We are thrilled to be back in action, after having to forego the event in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic,” says Angela Barth, who is executive director of the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce. “With an energized level of engagement this year, attendees can expect the ultimate networking event on the west side. It’s exciting to bear witness to all the important connections to be made. Our 90 exhibitors are eager to share their knowledge and expertise.”

A Little Bit of Everything
There’s an interesting mix of diversity among the chamber members and you’ll see that represented on the exhibition floor.

“We showcase a little bit of everything in products and services, from home renovation companies to personal training studios, retail businesses like gourmet food stores and professional firms such as law offices and accountants,” she says. “Our exhibitors come from all over the west side, not just Rocky River. Our two presenting sponsors, the Welsh Home and NetX Internet, will have larger booths. Check out our site for a complete listing of sponsors.”

Although attendees are not allowed to bring in large purses or bags, the expo will give each person through the door an Expo Swag Bag to collect samples and company literature.

A Bustling Summer of Fun
In addition to the Expo, another traditional RR event that came back this summer was the street festival Taste of River, which the chamber hosted in June. And in August, its annual golf outing was a huge hit.

“We’re happy for the support from this dedicated group,” she adds. “The golf outing is our second biggest fundraiser of the year behind the business expo. Funds raised go toward college scholarships to deserving Rocky River High School seniors, as well as tuition for students to attend Ohio Business Week camps.”

With more than 400 members, Angela says the chamber is on the grow and actively engaged in the community.

It offers a wide range of opportunities for members to become acquainted with other members and find helpful resources for their businesses, including monthly luncheons, a Christmas party in December, the Up + Running small business roundtable, Let’s Do Lunch events, Brewing Business AM+PM events, plus loads of savings discounts on local items and the chance to build your business through networking.

A Real Power Lunch
Brought back by popular demand, the Annual Business Expo is hosting the Power Hour Lunch, an exclusive networking opportunity for exhibitors and sponsors. A catered buffet lunch provided by Rocky River Chamber member restaurants will be offered from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, at the Civic Center, directly before the doors open to the crowds of Expo attendees.

The “Expand Your Network” Business Expo 2022 sponsored by the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce takes place Thursday, October 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Don Umerley Civic Center, 21016 Hilliard Boulevard, in Rocky River. Admission to the event is free with a business card or ticket and attendees should be over 18 years of age. There’s a free shuttle to and from St. Thomas Lutheran Church on Hilliard Boulevard. Anyone who takes the shuttle is entered into a raffle for prizes. There are still a few exhibitor booths available. To become an exhibitor or sponsor, and receive access to the Power Hour Lunch, call the Chamber Team at 440-331-1140. Visit RockyRiverChamber.com/EXPO2022 for more information.
