Perhaps this spring—unlike any before it—we are all taking pause for a long look at the world just outside our windows and wondering how it could be better.

Because this is the year you’ve taken dozens and dozens of walks around the neighborhood. You may have noticed a select few yards are a level above the rest…pristine and impeccably well-kept.

If you’d like to make your yard that yard, call the experts at Peters Professional Landscaping.

From mulching, edging and spring yard clean-up to designing and installing landscapes, building patios and outdoor kitchens, firepits, ponds and fountains, these guys have been beautifying outdoor living spaces since 1992.

“We’ve perfected the balance of creating for our customers the outdoor living space of their dreams that’s within their budget,” says founder Chris Peters.

Best Time to Mulch? Right Now
With the rains of early spring over, General Manager Josh Riley says that now is the perfect time to lay your mulch, as it will retain its color longer.

“Our storage containers are filled with every color, style and shred,” he says. “And since we buy in bulk, you can expect low prices, too.”

Choosing the right color can make a difference in emphasizing your home’s exterior as well as the colors of your landscaping. But the service is more complicated than just esthetics.

“Mulch also plays a role in conserving moisture in the soil and suppressing weed growth,” he explains. “From an environmental standpoint, it reduces erosion and sediment runoff.”

Old-Fashioned Mulching Methods are So Yesteryear
Last year the gentlemen at Peters Professional Landscaping decided to take a different route to lay mulch in a manner that costs less and still produces beautiful results.

Meet the Mulch Mule
This novel piece of machinery has a dispensary chute that evenly discharges perfectly fluffed and aerated mulch into wheelbarrows, utility vehicles or front-end loaders.

Last year, Peters Professional Landscaping decided to take a different route to lay mulch in a manner that costs customers less and still produces beautiful results. Meet the Mulch Mule.

The Mule takes about one-third of the time, with one-third the labor, to lay the same amount of mulch as the old-fashioned way. And they pass the savings along to the customer, so you’ll still receive the best quality product at better prices.

The Fine Art-Meets-Science of Landscaping
Although folks appreciate landscaping, not everyone enjoys spending the time maintaining it.

The designers here are sensitive to selecting the just-right combination of low maintenance stock that will bloom spring, summer and fall. They ask a lot of questions and get to know their customers. Do you have any specific issues, like pesky deer eating whatever you plant? No worries, they can select deer-resistant stock.

“Great landscaping is like a work of art,” says Chris. “We mix different colors, shapes and species for the most pleasing, balanced look.”

If You Can Dream It...
Whether you’d like to start from the grass up and create a new outdoor dream space, or have an existing patio you’d like to improve upon, Peters can create a look that is unique to you.

They can accent your space with firepits and fireplaces, water features like trickling fountains, and a lighting installation to bring it to life at night.

Sit Down and Stay Awhile
As a one-stop-shop for all things outdoors, the folks at Peters offer a durable and super-stylish line of Amish-made outdoor furniture, from dining tables and chairs, to rockers, gliders and swings.

“We Are All In This Together!”
“Since we’ve been able to stay open for the duration of the pandemic, as some of the clients we serve are essential businesses, our guys have been going the extra mile from day one,” says General Manager Josh Riley.

“In addition to social distancing practices, masking and gloving, we completely sanitize our trucks and equipment at the beginning of the day and the end of the day. From the get-go, we’ve closely followed all of the Governor’s recommendations.”

Josh says that staying open through the crisis has its perks, as they have been able to fully stock their supplies of landscape materials and are open for residential customers.

From mulching, edging and spring yard clean-up to designing and installing landscapes, building patios and outdoor kitchens, firepits, ponds and fountains, Peters Professional Landscaping has been beautifying outdoor living spaces since 1992.

“We’re meeting with clients fully masked to pull the trigger on summer jobs. They’re ready to kick back and feel carefree at their home again,” says Josh. “Peters can help with that. We are all in this together.”
