After 10 years as a dedicated member of the Station 43 Tavern team, General Manager Anthony Fiorelli has been promoted to managing part owner.

“Anthony’s contribution has been so significant, we wanted to share our success with him in a way that more completely recognized his contribution,” smiles Lisa Randazzo-Ross, who has been at the helm of one of Solon’s most popular eateries since it opened in 2006.

But for the new summer menu rollout, Anthony says everyone on staff put their two-cents in.

“There is a contribution from everyone on the team on this menu,” he says. “We all had a hand in pulling it together.”

That might explain the wildly varied and inventive offerings, everything from a Venison Chop to Loaded Brussels Sprouts.

“We put a summer twist on dishes that people love in the colder months,” he states. “Our chef, Brian Swaney, is a master in the kitchen. He keeps things interesting.”

To start, try the Loaded Brussels Sprouts, for $6.99. Like many people, Mimi has been on the Brussels sprouts bandwagon for some time, and this introduction does not disappoint. It features roasted sprouts topped with bacon, cheese and scallions with a dash of Yum-Yum sauce.

Keep the appetizers coming by adding the Asiago Gnocchi with Pesto to the table. Deep-fried gnocchi is served over marinara and comes drizzled with a house-made pesto stuffed with asiago cheese. It’s enough for two and is priced at $8.99.

Game on with the Venison Chop. Served with roasted red skin potatoes and a dinner salad, for just $19.99, Chef Brian reports this entrée has already been a hit. Not to be eclipsed is the Shrimp Alfredo with Spinach. The house-made Alfredo sauce makes this dish a must. It comes with garlic bread and a dinner salad, for $18.99.

But you can also dig into Station 43’s summer menu a bit more casually, as the new Shrimp Po’ Boy and Gyro sandwiches are priced at just $9.99 and come with your choice of sides. Anthony says both sammies are a hit with guests, and both feature house-made extras like coleslaw and tzatziki sauce, respectively.
