Whether you drive a Tesla, Maserati, Porsche or simply baby your VW bug as if it were one, the newly opened Westlake Laser Wash will treat your ride with every measure of care, using top-shelf products and the latest equipment and techniques.

Owner Michael Boukzam just purchased the business in late December after the previous owner passed away and has been busy ever since refurbishing the machinery in this premium touchless wash.

With a background in real estate and construction, Michael says he enjoys the challenge of resurrecting properties and looks forward to doing the same to this business.

“Ironically, I used to be a customer here,” says Michael, who admits to treating his late-model Mercedes with loads of TLC.

Keeping the Options Simple
“The cumbersome large menu board has been replaced with the simplicity of four options adjacent to the pay station for ease of choice,” he explains.

“And I want every customer to have an elite level of clean and protection, so even the most affordable Classic Wash, for $10, includes a clear-coat protective finish in addition to double soap, a touch-free laser wash and dry, and a spot-free rinse.”

Additional options add a cleaning of the undercarriage, an application of foam conditioner and an application of Rain-X protectant for $12, $13 and $14 each.

Michael has invested in the Blue Coral line of alkaline soaps and concentrated application products, one of the most trusted names in the industry.

“The quality of water is also integral to this process,” he explains, taking me on a tour of the interior of the car wash.

“By the time water hits your automobile, it has been through two microfiltration processes to strip it of carbon, then it goes through a reverse osmosis process to free it from impurities. Then we warm it to the optimum 110 degrees.”

His computerized settings for the equipment have differing levels of time your car will spend in the bay, and he sets his on the longest possible. “We pause and let the soaps and applications do their job,” he says.

To finish your interior clean, Westlake Laser Wash also offers vending products, such as Armor All sponges and windshield wipes. And you can make use of their high-powered vacuum services, too.

Safety is an important concern for Michael, and he has just installed new LED lighting and a 4k surveillance system so people feel safe any time of day or night.

Fight Off Damaging Snow and Salt
“People recommend you should have your car washed about once a week,” he says.

“But for me, I’ll have mine washed whenever it looks dirty. I appreciate how prolonged exposure to road salt and snow can damage a car’s finish. Your car is usually the second biggest investment you’ll make behind a home, so why wouldn’t you want it to shine?”

What People are Saying
Check out Yelp or Google for a gallery of ultra-gleaming cars coming out of Michael’s bays.

From Reel S. of Westlake:

“Just saw the old Westlake Laser Wash is now back open, and what a difference ownership that cares means. My Yukon was shining.”

And says Derek W. of Westlake,

“This is the best touchless wash around! My Maserati Ghibli will never be abused by a brush wash! Owner takes a lot of pride and care in the wash process to ensure the highest quality without the possibility of scratches, swirl marks, or a dull clear coat.”

At the end of the day, this is a family owned and run business, and Michael looks forward to a lot of help from his lovely wife, Jeanette, and son, Amin.

Residents since 2004, the Boukzams are active in the city and especially the schools. Michael has coached Rec Basketball for eight years (1st to 8th grade) and has been a Westlake Marching Band “truck Dad” for four years. His son, Amin, is a senior at Westlake High School, is in the marching band, is Senior Team Captain on the Varsity Tennis team and is on the JV Bowling team.
